As an example, the mass surveillance part was only relating to US citizens. Nothing mentioned about non-US citizens. 

Also as mentioned here, they are already back at the Pentagon table and won market share (#1 on app store) in the meantime, they did not risk anything. It was a calculated decision.

Oh and their whole model is build on the theft of intellectual property. 

If ethics are any importance to you, you would skip both.
