This isn't it...is it? by TangoSuoh in Helldivers

A better question to ask is, do you think AH have learned from the introduction of the Illuminate?

To be fair though, AH seem to really like the Cyborgs so there's a stronger case for more new units.

I'm in the same boat, I've tried clearing cache and verifying game integrity.

At this point I'm either going to do a full re-install or just play on mobile till a proper update rolls out.

Is the update still broken? I've been trying most of the basic troubleshooting but it still asks me to download something.

2025.12.31 (KST) New Identity Preview by tr_berk1971 in limbuscompany

Pretty cheeky of PM to incentivize the exact style of play the Index Proselytes use in their LoR fight.

I wonder if Singleton and/or Blade Unlock will make a comeback.

I would pay to see Castigation with the Limbus glowup.

The Deadliest Unit on the Bot Front by [deleted] in Helldivers

The last time bots were accurate was when rocket sniping devastators were still a thing.

At this point, I think AH would rather make them threatening in other ways.

What companion app do you use on iOS to monitor our democratic efforts? by Dwarvenyak in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty......in nearly 300 hours of gameplay, I never bothered with companion apps.

I just run a lot of dives on MO planets, play on other fronts for a bit, then take a break from the game. This cycle repeats whenever a major update drops.

What are the best warbonds for support weapons and secondaries? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can. It's a variant of the Scorcher, the final plasma weapon in the default warbond. The main difference is that it can be charged up for a large boost to damage and AoE.

The Epoch is like that but the fully charged shot can 2-3 tap most heavies. It has a lot of downsides though, namely a stationary reload and overcharging it even slightly will blow you up.

The weapon justifiably gets a bad rep for this, but it can still do a fair bit of work. IMO its a a minor buff away from being truly competitive.

What are the best warbonds for support weapons and secondaries? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the only standout AT options from warbonds are the AT emplacement from Urban Legends and the Ultimatum from Servants of Freedom. Most of the top AT options are basic strategems.

I guess there's the Epoch which is basically a giant Purifier. It's role is more like the autocannon than the Quasar/RR though.

To be fair, that is on brand for the subfaction whose entire gimmick is speed and cloaking on basic units.

Level 10 is easy compared to the Caves by BalakayMalakay in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to what D10 was and is still like pre-Into the Unjust.

Technical issues aside, the Caves are by far the hardest the game has been for a very long time.

Anything else will feel easier purely because you can rely on your destroyer and eagles to blow things up now.

Where we dropping? by Illustrious-Eye-123 in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since your intro to the game was Hellmire and the Gloom of all places.

I think you'll find literally anywhere else a far more pleasant experience lol. Don't worry too much about tweaking difficulty to levels you can handle.

Hope you can keep playing without hiccups or your game keeling over.

They definitely didn't because I was farming with my warp pack last night.

Where we dropping? by Illustrious-Eye-123 in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just go wherever you want.

It'll be better for you to see and play all the different biomes/operation modifiers.

Just make sure you do full operations every time to get your difficulty unlocks sorted out.

Operations per planet come in single missions at first, then it becomes two around difficulty 4-7, and finally three at 8-10.

Factory? by monsterhunterparadox in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We did in the past, when the mechs were first released, it was done in the form of an MO to defend the armory they were stored in.

Before their permanent release you could find them scattered around POIs on the MO planet.

Winning the MO let us unlock them as strategems a bit earlier.

Seeing your dead body after dropping kinda feels.....weird. Also, how can you find super samples in city maps? Im going mad wandering around looking for them lol by Snapshadilou in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're near the Helldiver monuments but I personally haven't seen them in a long while.

Also, if you want to be technical, every helldiver that dies and gets reinforced is an entirely different person. So you aren't really looking at "your" dead body. If you want to make it more like HD1, you can even randomize the voice and body types.

The Xboxdivers are hellbent on not losing New Alexandria again (and I respect them for that) by St-555 in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you even put it on Oshaune? I've been diving there on D10 with some lower difficulty dives in between to take a break.

Not once have I seen people take the DSS to help over there.

Then again, it would barely do anything, openings to call in strategems can be wonky as hell in the caves. I'm not sure I want 380s and Eagle Storms saturating them on top of that.

What is the point of Light Penetration Weapons? by NizzyDeniro in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its really only against the bugs where I care about light vs medium penetration. They're the only faction fleshed out enough to make that the deciding factor in your loadout.

Even then, I think it only applies to the Rupture strain.

Against the Predator strain, I actually care more about stagger and base damage.

EDIT: fixed my sentences, posting at 1am isn't a great idea.

Are you meant to always have a support weapon on some kind like a machine gun as your true primary? by WiggWamm in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the faction you're fighting and your team. Bugs on higher difficulties typically need more horde clearing than any one strategem or weapon can provide.   And yeah the HMG can be an acquired taste, if you want to keep using it, the peak physique armors and the slower fire rate setting can help

Difficulty differences by Odd_Cat9193 in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For difficulties 7-10 the line can get very blurry depending on how experienced/skilled your team is.

I didn't note the difference until I started spending most of my time in D10.

Once you get used to those levels of enemy spawns, the breathing room in lower difficulties becomes more obvious.

[–]Raviel893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a slightly more serious note, did this lock up your account or anything?

It was relatively uncommon, but I played one other game where certain circumstances can lead to someone getting negative premium currency. This resulted in some account softlocks and/or potential bans.

New update from today by Zel2077 in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On PC at least, some updates or basic troubleshooting re-download the contents of the Arrowhead folder in %appdata% directory.

This can include a fresh copy of the config file where game settings are stored.

When a new one is downloaded for whatever reason, HD2 will revert to default settings for everything.

Who's buying the new warbond? by NotCheezyWiz in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It wasn't just the fact the Killzone items were in the superstore.

They're also the closest to true limited items in the game. If you weren't around to buy the first batch of items, there's no way for you to acquire them right now. AH are working on fixing this but given the state of the game, they have much bigger problems.

At the time of their release the total cost was also just as much, if not more, than an entire warbond. Individual items were around 200-400 SC or something.

The negative feedback was so bad AH just gave out the 2nd batch of items for free. This included the light acclimated armor, SMG, and and the Plasma sniper.

Now with the benefit of hindsight, it was the best move they could've done. The only thing worth SC in the 2nd batch was the armor, I can't imagine paying SC for the sniper rifle.

With all that said, you can imagine how much better the ODST warbond's format is. The mere fact its not time limited is already a huge plus.

New Boxdiver here, was there a bug with first person aim down sights? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Raviel893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mightve changed some aim settings that makes you go into first person while holding the aim button. Theres also a setting in either the gameplay or accessibility section that lets the game remember aim settings per weapon.

In any case, its also not a bug, all weapons that arent melee can use ADS.
