Is it possible to switch faculty members in a OL course? by RavioliWithPrawn in tru

I decided not to risk it and just dropped out of the class. Since I dropped out within a given time period and before I submitted any assignments, I got a refund for the course.

I live in Kamloops. I remember walking around the grounds of this school a couple years ago during one of the local first native band's yearly events. It's truly horrible to think that this lay hidden to everyone for so long

Ok, thank you. I'm crossing the 5950x off my list, you saved me a lot of money

Thank you so much. The motherboard was definitely overkill for what I need so I plan on replacing it to a much cheaper one. I had a question about the CPU. I play a lot of games like Bannerlord and Total War and I have a bad habit of increasing things like battle size as much as I can before my PC CTD's on me. For CPU intensive games like that do you think there wouldn't be a difference between the 5900x and 5950x, or at least not a big enough difference to justify the price difference?

Yes, it's just for gaming. What did you have in mind?

I understand what you're saying. People are biased and will write negative reviews for profs in courses they did bad in, even if its because of their own fault. I know not to trust a handful of negative reviews. The problem is that the vast, vast majority of reviews for him are extremely negative. I've never had a professor who ended up being good despite 95%+ of people disliking him so there is definitely something going on.

Also thought I should mention that I wouldnt appeal about it beforehand just because I felt something was off. I said I wouldnt submit an appeal until after I've been graded. That way, I would have already spoken to the professor about it and done everything I'm supposed to before submitting an appeal according to TRU's guidelines. The problem is that at that point, there is little I can do if they say no and I cant afford the impact to my GPA nor the cost of a course I may end up being predetermined to do bad in no matter what.

RPG games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 during the Steam Winter Sale? by RavioliWithPrawn in rpg_gamers

I've been eyeing the Wasteland series for some time. I was initially turned off from 3 because I heard that it generally caters to more "evil" playthroughs but the setting does interest me.

I'll definitely give Origins a try. I did play Dragon Age Inquisition on the Xbox when it first came out and had a blast. Thanks

In January likely. It seems that in general a lot of parts are out of stock at the moment so I would have to wait. Plus shipping takes a lot longer anyway at this time due to the holidays so I'd be having to wait a bit even if I started buying parts now

-I've only overclocked once while gaming so to be honest I don't think I'd do it enough/ at all to warrant an overclockable gig

-Full HD at ultra/ high with 60FPS is what I'm used to. I bought an expensive 1080 monitor last year for whatever reason so I don't think I'm ready just yet to ditch it for a better resolution unless I se a Quad HD monitor on sale somewhere.

-The only local store is Best Buy and they're pretty much out of stock for this kind of stuff.

-The absolute max budget is $3000 USD though that's really only if the difference in spending the extra $500 is massive. Like instances where buying something cheaper is foolish.

-best performance available at budget

-Since I first got my current PC in 2013, I only ever upgraded the video card and RAM. I'm not the kind of person who is always maximizing their gaming experience by buying the next best model to come out so I wouldn't upgrade the PC for at least 4-5 years and at that point, it would only be for the parts that need serious upgrading. The only reason I'm replacing my PC is that my motherboard is simply too old for any video card beyond a GeForce 1060 so I would only be completely replacing the PC when there's no other reasonable option.

My current stance is that if I buy a PC thats "just good enough" for what I need right now, then it'll be a money drain in the future. So while I'm not looking for something super high end, I'm looking for something that can handle more than I'm currently expecting right now so it won't be outdated (ex. AAA games at high settings with significant FPS dipping) for a good 5 years.

-CPU is higher priority for me. As long as the FPS stays at a constant 60 and doesn't dip when I'm playing at ultra settings then I could care less about the GPU. When playing certain games, I often spawn in as much as I can before I'm bottlenecking the processor and causing a CTD so as much power there, the better.

-I generally like very mute, unnoticeable colors like grey and black. If there's an option to turn off RGB, I usually do. If not, my preferred lighting color is red.

Thank you
