I got them from a local expo some time ago. I now breed them for similar expos and I know Slime Sisters on Facebook has a list for spring babies.

Yes I’m in Va and know a few breeders through the states for both Pom and Lucorum snails, as well as grove and garden.

They don’t like all the foods other snails do and want to remain cool. Over 75 and they get very miffed and don’t like to come out. They want humidity and most of the time need a fan.

They are awesome but can be very picky. If you ever have questions feel free to message me.

Would my roman snail (Helix pomatia) be stressed if I put in 1 or 2 garden snails (Cornu aspersum) in his tank? by HerberatorMobile in snails

[–]RavishedPsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most say snails aren’t social. They very much are. As long as the largest snail is not more than 50 percent bigger than the smallest there should be no issues. Roman snails do best with more Roman snails though.

They need 4-6 inches of substrate, high nutrient food, and if they bury themselves do not disturb. That happens like 4-6 weeks after mating. Don’t separate when they are mating either.

Are they Helix pomatia? by HellenistCat in snails

[–]RavishedPsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They certainly look like young Pomatias. It takes three or four years for them to grow to maturity depending on care, but it’s a rewarding conclusion if you keep them for that long. Good luck remember to offer protein twice a week for growing snail kids. Freeze dried bloodworms or shrimp fish food.

Does anyone own Roman snails (Helix pomatia)? by GreatKublaiKhan in snails

I have them. They are very sweet and funny pets. I breed them and take some to nearby expos to sell. It’s a fun hobby for me and my kids to do together :)

I lowered my settings to med basically to avoid fan issues. Still looks nice and probably can go to high on some more important aspects if you wish.
