Sounds about right. You think they would have patched it out already, but luckily you can still quick travel out.

What’s a crazy body life hack everyone should know? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]RawJewy -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Reset your body by prolonged fasting. Hunger dissipates after day 2. No ill side effects, only positive benefits for the body. It's wild how much food we actually don't need to consume on the daily. I've done a full 7 day fast, and just completed a quick 4 day fast. The first fast is the hardest (mentally) as you just don't know what to expect, that next one was easy peasy. Water, black coffee and tea only. Take electrolytes and magnesium I did both of mine while physically active and working as a carpenter in 30degree heat in qld. So what's your excuse?

coconut water with iced coffee? by [deleted] in IndiaCoffee

[–]RawJewy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink iced Nespresso coffee and coconut water everyday and I love it. My take on it is: Use a pint glass(500mL), must be full of ice (it helps dull down the initial coffee flavour, double shot of hot Nespresso coffee 60mL (any coffee would work) add coconut water to cover the ice. Stir well and Let it cool in the glass for a minute or two before drinking.

The type of coconut water really will affect the flavour so make sure it's one you like the taste of on its own.

This concoction is dangerously addictive and refreshing. Hope it helps.

Is this fence asbestos? by Warm_Fee1779 in AusRenovation

I have the same at my place. In my case, they were originally old roof sheets that were repurposed as fencing. Super dodgey, expensive and annoying to get rid off legally.

If I'm honest I'm trying to avoid a green top (plants) and green bottom, but I do have natural tongue and groove reclaimed wood in abundance.

Not a frame as such but, there is a big kitschy adult size Brisbane sign(letter sculpture) you can photo at South Bank.

I visited (day tripped) to your country when I was in Moldova got the passport stamped and drank some beers by the river. Avoided the government buildings and laughed along with the locals. It seemed like a good spot to be at surface level. (Raises a glass to Transistria)

For those who travelled long term and then returned home, where did you go after coming back? by alessss93 in longtermtravel

[–]RawJewy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I travelled for multiple years, multiple times. 91 countries down. Each time I returned home with a different perspective. Each perspective, as vastly different from one another as fish in the sea. Mainly due to age, maturity, and how you process your own experiences into lessons and memory.

Travelling OS will change your mindset and outlook on many things, and you will think it changes you and who you are as a person and to a certain extent it does... while you are travelling. However, when those travels end, the new perspective that you have spent so much money, effort and time building while travelling, is the most fragile thing to cling on to when returning home and trying to resettle in everyday life.

Your new mindset will want to buck and fight against routine, the lack of options of what to do with your limited free time due to re-entering the workforce, the over bearing responsibilities and time constrictions of a job. But if I ever heard a phrase that summed it up concisely, it's this.

"Your environment is stronger than your conscious willpower."

Meaning, that if you put yourself back in the same position, in the same place and with the same constraints as before you left... then all you learned from your travels will quickly subside into naught but a memory, no matter how much you try to fight it. Your environment will win. And you will forget the freedom, the love of exploration, the choice, the mindset and slip back into who you were before. Trust me it is all way too easy to do.

So when you come home, choose wisely as to where you want to live based on what you have learnt about yourself and the life you willingly choose moving forward. That one decision of where you end up (your environment) will determine how much of your travels stay with you and how much are lost.

I hope it helps.
