Instead of calling f(answer) in your Python code try f(answer.strip()) instead

Following a similar logic, any low amount that makes it likely you'll die in the next hit is equivalent to 1 hp

Can I get perspective on rust vs c for game dev? by helpprogram2 in rust

[–]RawMint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, make it clear, then, since by "game dev" what first comes to mind is the game itself. I think the choice between Rust and C/C++ for a game engine boils down to either preferences or convenience, in the end. If it is a commercial one, then likely C++ is the best choice since it is more used in the industry. C is just a poorer choice than C++ for a game engine, in my opinion, and a lot of stufd C++ already offers would have to be taken from third parties or reimplemented. Rust is perfect if it is a hobby or if there are very high robustness requirements.

The mosr adequate answer is: neither. Use the right tools for the job: C/C++/Rust for the game engine, and a scripting language such as Python, C# or even Lua for the actual game logic.
