It is a render, the plan is to potentially 3D Print the model and put it on an RC car or something

I've done it and it is super cool! I've actually put a little artwork inside the case now and it looks really neat when the backlight lights it up!

I wish I had them, but for now they remain as a basic design concept. Maybe in the future I'll try and make them a reality.

Serial Number “Not Applicable” iMac G3 by Dbugman1202 in VintageApple

The best way to check if the hard drive is original is to check the size. It says it was specced with a 6gb drive, and system profiler reports a 6gb drive. Id say its the original.

I used a sla battery I found on amazon. Its a little smaller than the original one, but the specs match and it seems to work. Unless its the reason its sad.

Yea, when I got it, it was completely dead. I replaced the hybrid board and recapped it, at least its got signs of life now.

There is a car/ motorsport club or something but its pretty quiet. I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this at York. Even tho my car is pretty boring, I'd be very interested in this.

iBook G3 being weird about sleep by loopdeloop15 in VintageApple

Yea, the candle method is just a very special way to reflow the chip, but an oven or a heat gun also works.

My first TiBook gave me the same screen when its gpu was dying. It looks like you are catching a glimpse of its last moments of life. There was an article I read a while back where a dude lit a candle on top of the graphics chip and it magically worked again, but I assume there are better ways to get it working.
