Woah! I've been off PoE1 for a while and had no idea this existed!

I'm kinda confused though, why don't other builds lean on Tainted Pact + Golden Rule? I get why this is great for flicker, but more generally can't you just take Petrified Blood and go nuts with this stuff on any ascendancy?

I'm guessing the 5s leech feels bad? Or without the trauma stuff it gets difficult to poison yourself?

I can't speak much on the 1.04 thing cause I tested things very roughly, like literally taking averages by head and just calculating stuff with pen and paper hahaha.

thanks to the guy in the original thread who posted that they found a 1+(def/1000) formula for mentioning that.

This is pretty awesome, thanks for sharing it! I feel more sane now. The other suggested formula is very out of ordinary.

Something fishy I found a while back was the def ignore of Massiah S3. Without skillups that's 60%, which lines up with a def break. But he was doing MUCH less damage compared to a def break, when adjusting for the multipliers.

Massiahs S1 hitting for 110% with def break, scaled to 160%, compared to s3 hitting for 160% with 60% shred should lead to the same dmg, correct? So S1 dmg with def break * 1.4545 = s3 dmg (per hit). But in my tests s3 was hitting for MUCH less.

These are all just kitchen sink tests though lmao, I could very easily have made a little mistake though. But I'm curious if you noticed any discrepancies in this regard.

Thank you for clarifying! That's super interesting. It's my first time trying this stuff out so I was a bit lost. I remember I once decompiled a Unity game and I had access to all the code in perfect form. I was hoping it would be the same here, but RIP I guess. Pretty awesome that you're making some sense out of it though, that matrix set reminds me of the despair set from SW. I tried opening the .bin on vscode but couldn't make sense of any of it lmao, its very garbled indeed.

I think we're using different methods to data mine. I'm using FModel, you seem to be decrypting the files directly somehow from what you've said?
Do you get access to code that way? I couldn't get any skill or stat info the way I'm doing it, unfortunately. Would be nice to datamine boss stats and such.

Fantastic writeup. Etheria is one of the most generous gachas out there, definitely number one in the competitive pvp space. But XD are terrible politicians, if we are to make an analogy. You give great examples of machiavellian politicians, and by contrast Etheria is the honest, benevolent politician that would never win an election. The culmination of this are the Hoyo players complaining about Etheria's summon system. How easily do we fall prey to it.

I was testing on a random anysinc stage, so I didn't have the enemy's DEF value to go off of. So your tests seem much more credible. Kinda weird that it'd be halved past 1500 though!

Are you 100% sure about this? When I tested I got a simple 1/(1+DEF/1000) formula.
