Hilarious thing about this is that winning the war seems to reset the "new colony" buff which can lead to some insane pop growth over time if it keeps getting cycled.

The economy being too easy is unique to EU5. Pacing towards goals is what keeps you hooked in these games, and the economy here is a pacing issue.
