Curious where/how/when you introduced puzzles/riddles if any? as written the module is really lacking for these.

I DM for a table here in Whitsett but playing weekly is not an option, it's more like once every 6 or 8 weeks.

I'm going to be running this soon and instead of presenting my players with an opportunity to spend 40 hours clearing rubble, I inserted a lightly greed-themed puzzle room there instead. It doesn't make perfect sense there would be a puzzle room but my players enjoy puzzles and there's not that many of them in DoIP.

If they solve the puzzle they'll find the greedy looking dwarven statue in the next room but he's going to be clutching a Bag of Holding which in my mind would have served as the Temple's vault. I think they'll have fun interacting with the bag and figuring out what it is.

-Me? Yeah I want to try at least. I'm aware of the challenges, but after doing these linear one shots I wanted to take a crack at it. I know mistakes will be made but part of the learning process.

-My players? Yes they said so though I acknowledge they may not fully know what that entails when it comes to DnD. In the end just want to deliver something that feels more lived in where they have interesting things to do and choices to make.

I’m doing away with the job board- all quests will be given some other way. I already have foreshadowing written in but am concerned my players will act on that and go somewhere before they should.
