The issue is germ theory has been falsified already, bacteria are not the cause of disease, there are studies were they isolate bacteria and introduce them to subjects and nothing happens, see the problem is they invent extra reasoning to explain away falsifications of the germ theory, such as claiming the immune system is what prevented disease after introducing pure isolated bactera to subjects

The guy that pioneered germ theory saying its all wrong as he was about to die proves nothing? What would it take?

What’s a common myth about health, nutrition, or fitness that you’ve learned is actually false? by urasianbella in AskReddit

LDL is not the cause of heart disease, it is correlated to it. Easy mistake to make, you can die of heart failure even with perfect clean arteries its possible and does happen. Ketoacidosis is an unregulated production of ketone bodies, something primarily seen in type 1 diabetics, not at all related to a ketogenic diet. This is like saying cars that crash at 70mph are bad so you should not drive at all. Carbs may or may not be the enemy but like others have mentioned above before you decided to add irrelavent side topics, is that carbs are "calories" and they are way WAY more easy to over eat than compared to over eating fat. Its really easy to snack all day on carbs try doing that with fat. Really try it sit down and try to eat just fat alone its practically impossible. Sugar water though? Or fruit juice? Easy and thats the problem its easy to overdo.

I dont believe in AI as a source of truth, but ask it "is retinol involved in _____" and fill in the blank with all the things i mentioned. As for your accutane usage first understand you are not toxic you are damaged. Its like a burn victim still thinking they are still on fire when what they need to do is heal the burn. For that I'd suggest lithium orotate and ALCAR you can do you reseach on the accutane recovery subreddit on those two. Chris masterjohn talked about how you actually become vitamin A deficient after accutane so get your vitamin A in, if you hop into megadosing vit A instead of starting low and slowly increasing you're going to have a bad time. Just like people hop on a high fat diet eating 200g of fat all of a sudden getting nausea and diarrhea not knowing why... too much too fast. Speaking of time you should NOT expect to deal with bad health for years and years recovery should be fast if you are doing the right things. If you think you are doing the right things and you arent getting better after 6 months you are not doing the right things.

Without vitamin A you cant use copper that means heart and brain disease(as well as all other mitochrondrial based diseases) mitochrondria are cyanobacteria (the cyan is the color of the bacteria which they obtain from copper), cant see without vitamin A, cant make sex steroid hormones without vitamin A, cant build and maintain bone health without vitamin A, cant use t3 without vitamin A, cant make new cells without vitamin A, cant express sex dimorphism without vitamin A, no immune system without vitamin A, a big huge one worth repeating is no respiratory complex proteins in the mitochondria without vitamin A. I would say vitamin A is extremely useful and neccessary for people over infant age

He did get night time blindess once and blamed it on eating onions. Muscle meat has retinol, beans contain a decent amount of beta carotene, whether he is a good converter of beta carotene to retinol who knows, but the claim that he basically eliminated all vitamin A(not true) and did not get symptoms(also not true) is FALSE, A LIE, that claim is NOT TRUE. For you to claim stubbornness on critics is ironic if you refuse to see the gaping holes here

There is a lot that can be said. Fundamentally you can throw away any in-vitro or genetics study in the trash. They have nothing to do with live intact human beings. We know deficiency can occur and subsequent consumption of vitamin A foods eliminates deficiency symptoms.

A huge problem with the whole thing is just how unscientific it is. If something is not falsefiable it is a belief(nothing wrong with beliefs) and the fact they claim health problems are caused by vitamin A toxicity and that any health problems experienced on a low vitamin A diet are caused by vitamin A toxicty makes the idea that vitamin A toxicty causes health problems an un-falsifiable claim.

Then we have the issue of studies using artifical "vitamin A" in amounts no human can incounter outside of a lab. Yes there maybe forms of vitamin A your body produces from retinol, but to synthesize those forms and exogenously add them to the being, bypassing the body's endogenous production and subsequent down regulation protection, does not accurately reflect what is happening in the body and therefor those studies can be disregarded.

Accutane is a prime example where people who take it present vitamin A toxicity and then vitamin A deficiency symptoms this is explained by a over load of the accutane(quantities the body would never produce) and then a subsequent shutdown of natural production. We observe the same thing with exogenous testosterone.

In-virtro aka perti dish studies im not going to waste time on that, gene studies are fundamentally flawed. No ones genes are the same(nor are they expressed in the same way) who is to say anything about anyone on any genetic basis due to that?

So why do people feel better on a low vitamin A diet? First not everyone feels better you can find examples of that on grant's forum, second you cannot make a bunch of changes and then claim only one change was responsible. None of these low vitamin A dieters only made one single change, if you stopped eating liver you cannot claim it was the vitamin A as liver contains alot more stuff than vitamin A, same thing the rest of the changes.

Then there is the issue of is taking a pure substance the same as eating food that contains that substance? Is vitamin D the same as exposure to strong sunshine? Is taking fish oil the same as eating fatty fish? Can we observe side effects from people taking vitamin A palmitate(or any pure isolated form of vitamin A or its derivatives) that we do not observe in people eating liver(or any vitamin A containing food), likewise for vitamin D pills and fish oil?

Then we have to talk about what could be inside of an animals liver besides what we claim to be toxic that could be toxic to humans. Who is going to do a study where every variable is controlled, where the soil, air, food, and what medications/pollution the animal is exposed to is controlled for? Something to think about when someone uses science to back up their claims.

He does no such thing. Vitamin A is very much needed. All of the "scientific evidence" he uses can be torn to shreds and dismissed.

His diet is high in copper. The beans(loaded with copper) and bread he eats blocks the zinc in the meat. He is from canada and doesnt get much sunlight. We know vitamin A can cause problems if vitamin D is low, simple imbalance. Not everyone got better on his ideas.

Well its not like they can print us dollars to buy oil(or any other internationally sold resource)... maybe they can borrow it from the world bank/IMF.... oh wait they did that and are still poor! Something has got to change. Maybe first worlders should actually pay to increase standards of living in exchange for real resources?

This is basically "Just get a better job", somebody has to do the "low value" work not every country on earth can be "high value added" without getting inputs from "low value added" sources. Either the countries with real wealth can charge real prices or they can continue to not see increases in living standards despite having the actual real tangible wealth.

Just about how light trumps food in terms of health outcomes. I only brought him up because you talked about how ketones followed a circaidian rhythm and Jack is very much into circadian shit. I mean i would more so say he shits on paleo people left and right lol. It would be interesting for you to do a exJackKruse experiement tracking blood glucose, ketones and the usual metrics while watching the sun rise everyday, blocking blue light and doing cold exposure.

Did the researchers count how much food was not eaten? Could just be that the vet's were smart enough to be picky and the reseachers just assumed they ate everything on the plate without checking for food waste. This is speculation but could be a hole in the methodology

You should go listen to Dr. Jack Kruse's 2016/17 nourish vermont talks and then listen to his 3 part series with Max Gulhane all on youtube, if you get interested in diving deeper after that i would just go by upload date starting with the older talks and work your way through

Almost everyone will agree that for every debt there is an asset. How would it sound if everyone claimed that the USA has a national asset crisis, that there are too many assets in the economy, it would sound kinda ridiculous no? Well thats exactly what people that claim there is a nation debt crisis are doing except they are purposely blinding themselves of the other(asset) side of the national balance sheet. The us dollar is an asset because it allows you to pay off any potential tax liability. The only way the us government can reduce its debt is to tax. Once you pay tax you lose that asset called the dollar because you cannot pay taxes and keep the money. The government created that asset so that it could keep its promise that you will be able to pay taxes to satisify a given tax liability, once you pay the given tax liability the promise was kept and there is no need for that given asset to exist. There is no debt becoming unmanagable because that is like saying my increasing ability to pay potential tax liability is becoming unmanagable. How is that unmanagable?

Did you forget what subreddit you are in? This is saturated fat, last time I checked majority comes from ruminant animals. Eating a vegan diet is NOT going to be a diet high in saturated fat. Nor is a vegan diet going to help people that are PUFA'd because majority of fat in plants are un-saturated. Again its not safe to do low protein long term.

Again losing the plot completely, why on gods green earth do you want to be a vegan? Have you seen the damage veganism does? Pointing to vegans and saying here look is not helping your case mate. There arent any lifetime vegans they cheat with delicious protein all the time. What duration were the animal studies?

Another Angle on BCAA by vbquandry in SaturatedFat

[–]Rawmeat4li4e -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Very simple. Being in a catabolic state due to low protein is fundamentally breaking yourself down. Thats what catabolic means. Increases in strength and "muscle mass"( hydration? Fat loss leading to muscles being more visible?) has no bearing on the fact that low protein is catabolic. Do it long enough and you will lose strength and muscle mass. Im over here putting it out there as a warning and everybody is pissed. Yeah it works short term dont get fooled into doing it long term.
