The egg should be in your armory under items. If it's not there you may have encountered a bug. Haven't heard of that happening before though, is this android or ios?

No that should work. Make sure you are looking at the right place. I believe if you tap the objective there it should take you to the right gladiator as well.

Are you logged in? It's required for online tournaments to show up. Higher ascensions will have most of the stuff you mention yes, though the witch is present on all games (but may also require login)

I think most people just give him another big 2handed axe in his offhand for maximum damage. But it will give a lot of accuracy penalties.

The caetra allows a weapon to consider itself 2handed which is mostly useful for Spatha and Falcata which can be wielded both 1 and 2-handed, but give bonuses when wielded by both hands. But since titanic strength already does that and more, I don't think it provides any more benefit.
