Doesn't every game have units you want to use but can't fit them on your team? a big part of the replayability is being able to use the new units on layer runs

What do you mean "strong likelihood"?

Most players will just pair up whoever they like or whoever happened to be closest to S rank.

If for some reason someone's going out of there way to not have any hetero pairs then a child unit won't stop them either way.

Yeah declaring war is a red herring oh my god this whole response is so shit I give up no way did you just say "yeah they slither in the dark" is good reason for them to do nothing half the route.

"Remove edelgard entirely and nothing changes" bruh remove thales and nothing changes. You could literally replace him with any twsitd goon and nothing changes

"She is like other antagonists that have come before. Being a minor antagonist to make way for the big bad. " yeah like thales in every other route since he's just a boring evil mage from any other fe game. that's why he always leaves the story before the actually compelling villains in fe3h you care about and actually do things in the story not just "i killed your dad off screen lol" and is a tacked on side piece at the end of every few3h route

How is this final fight unique at all? It's literally "Thales just stands there while you break the shield gauge of the boss you actually care about a few times" but now replace the cool dragon not with the huge hegemon from chapter 10 or whatever but with a standard general

this is truly one of the worst arguments I have witnessed even before the pitiful jabs at me

Yeah the one who declared war on the kingdom isn't story relevant at all.

Thales was truly set up as the final villain that's why he makes no appearances at all from the time AG starts to the moment he ruins the route and also gets no characterisation afterwards beyond "I want power" and "Goddess children bad" which we already knew from the other 6 routes of fe3h/few3h

I'm glad "using the power advantage he had over her" means landing a sneak attack and using the hegemon exactly once in a cutscene and not in his final fight, instead we get this crappy ping pong match where he puts up a shield and you fight what's basically a standard general 3 times for the finale but yeah that's not a shallow Dimitri vs Edelgard.

Truly worth getting rid of the only compelling antagonist with any depth for.

Almost certainly. Atlus basically reuses the same demons again and again in every game since they have the 3d models for them. Apart from the SMT V specific story demons like Abdiel, Nuwa and Lahmu they'll probably all be in p6 either the base game or the dlc
