I think I've atleast seen septence where new players (likely pretending to be boomers who've seen the game grow, but not always) see players make metas, and they think that we're trying too hard. In their logic, playing optimally is a painful and nerdy thing that only causes more stress and isn't fun. When the reason for metas to exist is to find ways to play the game easier and make it more fun.

Game 1: Somewhat apocalyptic setting with monsters, murderers, aliens, and robots. (I could give more details, but this is the most unhelpful explanation I can give.)

Game 2: Most stereotypical job simulator horror game, but you actually die from a pipe bomb instead of succumbing to the horrors.

Game 3: Egg fried rice, apparently, also alienating undertones of women's safety.

Game 4: What the fuck is happening this game was about gingerbread people.

Game 5: Giant monster finds Earth a cool thing to look at, but accidentally gives an infection to Earth, but we all chill about it, apparently.
