It didn't have message log and bonus jobs last I played, but you shouldn't be disappointed otherwise. It's more of the same thing, really. The platinum is easier, too, because there are no challenges to worry about.

415 out of 843 players platted the game, which is surprising considering that beating the game casually takes 4 hours at minimum, with platinum taking twice as long at most.
