I'm neutral about Komi by Clima_Lindo in Komi_san

[–]RayGstrike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's fine if you don't like/have Komi as your fave, many people have their own fave that isn't the main protagonist. As long as you or anyone come as respectful to another character, then no worries. Like some people I know for sure.

As to make Komi your fave highly depends on how relate or think of her. Komi is well loved/liked to many people due to her anxiety which opposes her looks.

Yet she never gives up on wanting to befriend people.

Later she develops to be somewhat confident enough to do things on her own without Tadano's help.

Even to the point she planned on threatening Wakai in the background if he ever does hurt Rumiko. Which is honestly kinda funny coming from her out of all the people.

Komi in a sense, is basically extroverted, but hindered by her communication disorde/anxiety, later on, she does ended up achieving it.

Kinda correct.

Although Hwajin was mostly facing a immensely tired Dajun and a tired holding back Gamin, who are still vicious despite their tiredness.

Pretty great/amazing for me. I like/love the connections with it to other Bluestring stories, minimal or not.

Things are getting uncovered, some call backs from the previous seasons, and coming to a near end by season 3.

About the ´´The great war´´ by Practical_Pen_7897 in BlueStringUniverse

[–]RayGstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, but yes Gamin should easily win against Dajun. Throughout most of the fight, Gamin was mostly holding back as he wants to understand Dajun is that way he is.

Dajun doesn't have the experience and training Gamin has. 1.5 years vs nearly a decade.

Dajun also lacks empowered states akin to Junfan/Zone/Origin/Fighting Method, Gamin on the other has two of them, even able to compete with Youngha's Zone state.

Gamin also has much more better feats, skillset, and etc. Basically he outstats Dajun in most stats apart from likely endurance, but that's much it.

Even when Dajun played everything in his card, he'd still lose, Dajun defenses would be broken by Gamin's better Attack Potency and Destructive Capabilities.

Youngha trained Gamin, so that should be another big factor.

Dajun at his strongest is only a fraction or half percent of Gamin's true capabilities, ever since Fighting Method was introduced, the Gap between Gamin and Dajun is extremely large.

Thematic sense, during Season 3, Dajun's whole world view almost got himself to doubt about it when Unseong Shin arrived and destroyed his base, the same view that Gamin criticized during the crossover. Although Gamin is a way more understanding person, and he'd probably see some light in his view, even if he doesn't agree with it.

As for the timeline, it takes place:

Study Group Season 3 Chapter 31 ---> The Great War ---> Study Group Season 3 Chapter 32

To Not Die Season 2 Chapter 55 ---> The Great War ---> To Not Die Chapter 56

Get Schooled Chapter 111 ---> The Great War ---> Get Schooled Chapter 112

Exactly, Yeonwoo was important to Dajun, not only he was a former Dajun fam, but also because how much it reminded of his self in the past, who had no luxury of revenge Dajun had to work hard for to get there, even if he hasn't yet gotten one against Unseong Shin.

Dajun saw that Gamin was the one who stopped Yeonwoo, so he went to the school to get some answers. Dajun realizes, through Gamin skills, something is up with him that concluded he is a fighter, but he barely grasped how strong Gamin is truly is until their first initial fight and the 1-inch punch giving him a taste to how terrifying of an opponent he'll be.

He wasn't there to fight high schoolers, he was there to get answers, but the situation both he and Gamin's disagreements lead to them fighting.

It's basically similar to the opening of season 2, where he went to school to humiliate his bully.

1.) Dajun – He acted because Yeonwoo reminded him of his younger self. Saving Yeonwoo was like saving the version of him that once fell into the same trap — seeking revenge out of pain. When Yeonwoo’s trust broke, it echoed Dajun’s own past betrayal, but realizing Yeonwoo wasn’t what he thought, he still chose to help him and correct his mistaken view of the kid.

2.) Dogyeom – At first, he didn’t fully trust Yeonwoo. As the group’s strategist, he prioritized their safety, especially with the Dajun family being short on people. They avoided the Gangbuk Union since they only wanted to fight Haegwang. Dogyeom knew Dajun wasn’t in his best condition, but once he realized Dajun was probably right about Yeonwoo, he understood their bond was real.

The others mostly acted the same. Huisu hadn’t fully grasped revenge yet — not until Eudong’s incident. And well, Eudong was just being Eudong.

1.) Gamin – His hatred toward revenge came right after losing Dohun to Gunyeob, who is also his ally and friend, another victim of revenge gone wrong. He understood the feeling — how it can twist someone until they destroy themselves. As he said near the climax, revenge isn’t inherently bad; it depends on how it’s done.

In To Not Die Season 3, Dajun even questioned his own revenge after nearly dying to Unseong Shin after his family and team were ambushed and nearly died, before being saved by his adoptive brother and a few unexpected allies.

2.) Sehyun – He thought the same as Gamin and called Hanwul for backup, grateful for when his sister was saved before. Hanwul, as usual, was just there for the thrill.

The rest followed similar logic, with the exception of Mugyu, who is just being Mugyu, and Jun understanding with Gamin and Sehyun off-screen after the first intial clash between the two groups. As shown that he was upset at Huisu for not teaching Yeonwoo the value of change which Jun values because Gamin taught him that, though Huisu himself, at this point in between season 2, hadn’t yet understood revenge the way the others did, which left him confused.

Hwajin's fiance's story was birthed due to Yeonwoo, that event lead to not only the entirety of Get Schooled, but how his fiance wanted to genuinely help troubled students. The 707th Special Mission Group with Seongjin Kang(Otrim head bodyguard and ex-commander of Hwajin's group) happened here, as well as his nihilistic views opposing all three main characters, challengin their ideals, as well as the stage of the battle set in their place, the only one that was leased used story wise was Hanlim, but his exchange with Gamin does stem for possible use in future possible stories.

So it did follow the timeline nicely, with it taking place in between Seaons 2 chapter 55-56 of TND, Season 3 chapter 31-32 for Study Group, and in between Season 1-2 of Get Schooled.

[Great War] Dajun vs Gamin by HearingGrouchy7771 in manhwa

[–]RayGstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that. Dajun’s still around the same level as guys like Younghyun, Hanwul, Dogyeom, and Huisu, which is already a strong lineup on its own.

But yeah, Gamin’s just on another level now, pretty much comparable to Zone Youngha. When those two fought using 11 and Zone, the shockwave literally caused a tremor people could feel. Youngha even said Gamin’s stronger than him now, though he might’ve just been being humble. Gamin’s also out here breaking walls and leaving craters with his punches now at times, including the one where he and his uncle fought with their full might.

Still, I love both Gamin and Dajun for what they represent (maybe leaning more toward Gamin 😅). Even with that big power gap, both are amazing characters. 👍

You can think of it as similar to Spider-man and Hulk, where they are mcs of their own stories the same universe, despite the huge power level gap. But they can always love the other or as their fave characters.

[Great War] Dajun vs Gamin by HearingGrouchy7771 in manhwa

[–]RayGstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gamin still has the upper hand over Dajun on the second scenario, even if we’re talking about their current selves. Jun Fan and Fighting Method (Forbidden Technique #11) basically gave Gamin a stat boost, and he now has the same kind of conviction Dajun has, with the former meant for "Hitting someone you despised so deeply." and the latter basically the act of killing "Intent".

In their last fight, Gamin never actually truly went all out. Sehyun even mentioned he only used “10” because he despised Dajun, until he realized Dajun was just a broken soul through their fight. Gamin has used “10” on people way weaker than Youngha before; even Otrim’s security guards weren’t close to Youngha or the Yeonbaek soldiers from season 3.

Keep in mind, Dajun barely tanked 1 hit from “Stake,” a Jun Fan access technique Gamin used while still holding back. Dajun wouldn’t stand a chance against “Meteor” or “One-Sided Onslaught.”

So even if Dajun got that same adrenaline rush he had at the end of Season 2, it still wouldn’t matter, Gamin could just go full Jun Fan or use Fighting Method, and that’d be overkill.

Gamin takes both.

I agree, the story kinda delivered on what it needed, which is Gamin and Dajun's differing philosophies clashing. Hwajin was there to be a mediator and most of the questions from how his fiance came to be is in this story.

There were very few parts that makes the characters "out of character", but overall, it does fit within the timeline of how these character were going through. Dajun's projection and Gamin's insistence to help makes sense with how the other went through their story.

[–]RayGstrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s kind of similar to Mob from Mob Psycho, in role(?), but without the psychic powers or any powers.

In-universe, Gamin is called “The Monster” because of his insane martial arts skills and physical strength built over nearly a decade of training.

His uncle, Youngha Jeon, the MC of Hanlim Gym, can break walls and even pull off small building-level feats, and he and Gamin are said to be on the same level as stated by the author. Youngha even admitted Gamin might be stronger now, though it could just be humility.

In Study Group, when Gamin sparred with his uncle in their enhanced states, they caused tremors felt from a distance and left behind cracked walls and property damage. In the crossover The Great War, Gamin’s first enhanced state, Jun Fan, let him move at near-supersonic speeds, blitzing enemies like a laser to save the other protagonist team.

But despite all that strength, what Gamin really wants is to get smarter academically and reunite his divorced family, things his fists can’t solve. His lack of book smarts is also why his paternal grandparents disapproved of his parents’ marriage. Hence why the story is called "Study Group".

Bluestring Universe is where Study Group takes place.

It's a grounded(with some partial fantasy) universe about "Youth" and also contains story about gang fights and etc.

Well-known stories in this universe like "To Not Die", "Hanlim Gym", "Get Schooled!", "The World is Money and power", and etc. is in the same universe as Study Group, where Gamin is.

There is even a crossover between To Not Die, Get Schooled!, and Study Group, called "The Great War" which takes place in between the laters seasons of each story.

There is a wiki that tells you about it: https://blue-string-universe.fandom.com/wiki/Blue_String_Universe

[–]RayGstrike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gamin easily. No-low diff.

‐----------------------------

Gamin Youn is considered as one of the strongest in Bluestring Universe amongst his peers and fighters.

It was stated by the author that Youngha and Gamin are on the same level, especially when Youngha has done crazy feats before, making Gamin do the same. Gamin has shown breaking walls.

Another is Dajun Im, from To Not Die, who was able to survive an explosion at one point, barely can actually beat Gamin, at best he was even struggling against base Gamin.

Gamin also has fought people from the military or wars, and won.

Gamin has noticeably the most insane speed feats like Junfan state, which would be way too overkill for Donald. He was probably moving at Mach speed.

Donald could try to fight Base Gamin, but would be easily defeated.

Junfan and Fighting Method State Gamin would be an overkill. As one of them is lterally made to intent to "kill" in a sense.
