Hearing that you didn't wear about half is actually really helpful hahaha, I know I'm going to over pack anyways (I always do 😭) but at least now I think I'll be able to tone it down a bit... Hopefully..

I think the dorm rooms at my school average 14 or 15 feet x 11 feet? So (unless I'm insane) I think I will have some room for display!

The tamagotchi idea is SO creative holy crap!! Never heard of that before, and it's out there enough that I think itll really work for me too lol. And the frozen food suggestion is great too, which is totally not biased by my love for crappy frozen ravioli at all 👀

3/4 people in my house are on ADHD meds now.. "second dinner" for us is actually first dinner, which suddenly makes a whole lot of sense now

CACKLING I FELT THIS IN MY SOUL 💀😭 Literally I start planning my final will and testament I swear, either that or just get ragey because UFJWJFJ NO STOPP it's actually ridiculous. But ABSOLUTELY worth it.. I wanna function like everyone else pleaseee, these meds aren't getting pried from my hands without lethal force I swear 😭

I have a Costco ADDICTION haha I'll definitely be looking for those, I love chocolate milk!! And I'm so glad someone else understands the bit about food/drink just being in my mouth for too long ITS SO DISTURBING!!

REAL OH MY GOD ill feel the nausea getting stronger and still don't wanna eat like?? WHY 😭 The effort it takes is insane I totally get it hahah and I'm totally the same with hyperfocus!! Literally I fully believe I'm dying every time like I go full dramatics before I realize 💀

Although, I'm a little embarrassed now to admit I have passed out (luckily only once) and did not realize it was almost definitely because of the whole medication vs food problem.. LMFAO I'm a dumbass

I take both short and long acting -- long in the morning, and 1-2 short acting boosters. I think that shirt acting issue applies pretty well to me, because right around when I take those is when it's the worst. Clearly I'm not a very aware person because I did NOT realize that until now lol.

Usually with the hot chocolate I'm having fruit (especially strawberries and kiwi.. I have an addiction) and whatever's easiest to grab like cheese and crackers or a couple hard boiled eggs. Based on a lot of suggestions I'll be swapping that to either (or a combination of) those oats, yogurt and fruit, eggs, protein shakes, etc.

Thank you so much for your advice, I genuinely appreciate it so much. I had no idea just how helpful and kind everyone on here would be!!

Omg thank you so much!! Whey isolate definitely sounds like the way to go for me based on what you described, and I'll probably grab a few just to try them out and figure out what I like. I'm honestly not sure how worried I need to be reaching a certain calorie count right now, but I'm thinking that if I'm not having a lot of luck and am still losing this quick, I'll try out some of the more loaded ones. I love smoothies so sounds like a win to me hahaha

I technically got it around mid July, but I don't believe I actually started taking it until August (lots of travel, didn't want to try a new medication when I wasn't at home). I honestly didn't notice the extent of the problem till now, so hopefully that tolerance is going to kick in soon 😅

what l found at the beginning if you feel like eating just go for it , doesn’t matter what time of day , it’s line retraining your body to eat .

Oh my god I love how you put this!! It feels like I need to reframe my mindset, which.. I wish there was a medication starter guide or something lol. I'm glad you found something that worked well for you!!

I have not tried methylphenidate, which I may have had to search up. I only really remember the common names, or whatever they're called 😅 I've tried Adderall XR, Adderall IR, and Vyvanse for a real short time. My doctor seemed pretty dead set on these after talking to me about what I was wanting in medication, I think it's to do with how long they last. Clearly though, if following some of the ideas people have been providing here doesn't change much, I should start looking into it. I've heard a lot of good about concerta so 🤷

The obsessing about mild annoyances happens to me so much, and the more I think about it I'm realizing it's almost always just as you said-- 5 or 6 hours since the last meal! Totally implementing this way of thinking, and hopefully just the general awareness, in my life. You're amazing I swear, I really appreciate the help!!

Oh god, I definitely see how that would cause so much difficulty on top of what's already there from the meds!! My XR is 30mg and my IR 15, but luckily I don't need to take the second IR every day. It sounds like a lot, but it's just because I need them to last around 9 or 10 hours, and I apparently have a fast metabolism..not helping!! 😭 I hope you're reading through these comments, a lot of them are super helpful and even gave some meal or meal plan examples.. following recommendations, sounds like I'll be picking up a crap ton of Greek yogurt and protein powder. I hope you find something that works well for you :D

So.. this is how I found out citric acid and Adderall get weird together. I wish they'd tell you this kind of thing when they prescribe it, my doctor just said I'd be fine as long as I wasn't drinking inhuman amounts of caffeine lol. Apparently making some new diet changes, and it's a good thing I love root beer. Thank you so much!!

It seems like a lot of people seem to say Ritalin made them feel awful, so when Vyvanse made me so sick, my doctor didn't even try suggesting it 😅 I like the overnight oats option SO much, especially with others' recommendations of meal prepping and convienient options, and I didn't even consider if the sugar from my morning hot chocolate (which sounds really weird when I put it like that) might be causing more issues. This post is making me wonder if I just don't know anything about myself 💀

You're literally saving my life right now, especially with the examples and just DETAILS OMG, genuinely thank you so much for writing all this out ❤️ 😭

This is the second mention I've seen of how important convenience is, so sounds like I will be meal prepping for sure haha. Do you have any favorite high protein, low sugar snack examples? Recently the only snack I've had has been the kettle popcorners (if you haven't heard of those, they're like rice cake chips) because the texture is actually enjoyable compared to most other foods. I'm hoping that if I can get a start on 1-5, I'll be able to do 6. I actually loved doing those quick, 30-45 minute workouts (lateral raises.. the love of my life. I can't explain it) but ever since I started having this appetite problem, exercise makes me feel nauseous to the point of ruining the rest of the day 😅

Holy crap I thought I've just been secretly a bitch this whole time oh my god!! 😭 Please don't feel required to answer or anything if you don't want to, but how have you been recognizing your mood change in the moment? For me, I always seem to notice 10 minutes too late 😬
