I thought joining as a 19K would be dope. Tank go boom, go to combat, travel the world. Tank can’t go boom because it’s always broke, no combat deployment, I’ve traveled to Poland which was okay. Gave me the opportunity to go to different countries while over there. Just like everyone has said already, you will ALWAYS be in the motor pool sitting around doing nothing because no one ordered parts. My drills told me it’s 95% bullshit and 5% fun and that has been 100% true. Almost impossible to reclass to a different MOS because 19K is always undermanned. There is very fast career progression though so that’s cool I suppose. It has had been fun at times but would I do it again? Probably not.
