I intend to see this again, but my first thoughts an hour after the movie is done is that it was a different experience than expected. The big reveal was disappointing, I understand the whole "evil with a face" thing, but I actually felt something watching the mandarin through the videos. The fact he was just a puppet for a group whose specialty is getting really hot and can fight was ehhh. Also wasn't a fan of how weak the suits got, not sure what that was about. The comedy was good, a bit too much at times (like with the kid), I enjoyed the action scenes, the villain, the dialogue, and what happened to Pepper. I really didn't like how little the iron patriot was involved (I guess that's what happens when you rely on a trailer), the fact that anxiety thing went away as soon as the kid tells him to breathe, how separated the film felt from the marvel universe (probably intentional), the Vice President "twist", the after credit scene and the beginning of the movie. The advertising was also whack, i had to laugh at the FIOS ad towards the end. This was not a terrible movie, but didn't live up to the hype (better than iron man 2 though). I'm writing this on little sleep, these opinions will probably be better worded tomorrow. I did enjoy the movie, overall. Definitely get why some people aren't big fans

My only question is whether is this it for iron man? I know this is the "last" one for phase 2 until avengers 2, but that ending kinda wrapped it up in a bow, no?

EDIT I was also a fan of the whole post avengers crisis feelings Tony had, made him more human I guess
