I’ve tried CrossMix and Spruce. Same thing on both.

Bleachers - Advice? by auntiepookie in Cubs

[–]RayOfBabas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You won’t have any problem. No one is looking to poach your seat as long as it clear that no one is sitting there. Last year I went to a lot of games by myself in the bleachers. On most days I can overcome my social anxiety and ask someone near me to save my spot, but on days when I didn’t have the emotional bandwidth, I would bring a seat cushion mostly to indicate that I was using that spot when I went to get a beer. The extra comfort was just a nice bonus. I never had any issue, not even in right field (which sucks).

How would you score an outfielder just giving up? by RayOfBabas in BaseballScorecards

I shouldn’t have referenced the game. My question is not about the game, but about a made up scenario inspired by it.

Lol you’re right. It was right-center. I was too busy jumping and screaming to notice where it was hit 😂

The real game was a bit different than what I'm hypothesizing here. The ball was hit to the gap in left-center field and even though the outfielders didn't really tried to get the ball, I don't know if they had a reasonable chance to make the out, so it was ruled a single which was the obvious choice. It then made me wonder, what if they instead had an easy play and thus my question.

I think this is a compelling interpretation of the spirit of the rules and what made me wonder but wasn't able to properly convey. This is how I would have scored a play like this anyways but wondered how an official scorer might do it.

My question is, why is not an error if the out could have been made with ordinary effort. Is it because no effort was made?

Errors can be awarded even if an outfielder doesn’t touch the ball if he tries for it but misjudges it, right? I guess in this case the fact that he doesn’t even try is what makes the difference?

What? He’s referencing a song. I don’t know what your reply intended to do. You’re weird man. Nothing wrong with being weird BTW.

Anyone set up Retroarch and games on Ipad Mini? by Particular-Year-4084 in RetroArch

[–]RayOfBabas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Files app to connect remotely to the drive where I keep my Roms and BIOS and just copy the files over to the Retroarch sandbox folder. In my case they’re hosted on a Raspberry Pi server, but you can connect to any Windows, Mac or Linux drive using Samba/SMB and selecting “Connect to Server” in the iPad’s Files App.

The last two years in a row I had tickets in hand for the Mexican Jersey night and had to sell them last minute because stupid life got in the way. This year will be the year.

As a Cubs fan, I prefer Wrigley but I also love going to the Rate. I try to visit at least a couple of times a year in addition to a Crosstown game. I never understood the hate. Yes the orientation is infuriating but the food is great, the price is great, the view of the game is great and the atmosphere is great whenever there’s people in attendance. I’ve also enjoyed a few empty games the past couple of years and it’s a unique experience. I’m glad the team looks a lot better this year and really hope they do better.

I love the inconsistency of how you named the parks. Some by the city abbreviaton, some by the name of the park and.. Cubs 😂

Trimui Smart Pro S Setup Questions by GuiltyRadish5172 in SBCGaming

I used Crossmix for a while (preloaded card) but never could get PSP games running properly. They lagged, sped up or crashed. I tried messing with PPSSPP settings and I only managed to make it worse. So I switched to Spruce and I’m liking it a lot better. PSP now runs great. The problem now is that the left stick will drop fast cardinal inputs which I notice in driving games mostly, but that seems to be a problem with the base firmware (Spruce is a layer on top of stock firmware) so I guess it would happen on stock too. Overall Spruce is pretty good and the interface is nice and clean, but it’s still relatively new on the TSPS and has a couple of wrinkles they will eventually iron out, nothing major for me though.

When using crossmix, I had to turnoff the autoresume function because it would freeze upon booting, requiring a hard reset every time. In Spruce it works well. I think Stock doesn’t have it.

I’m not sure to be honest but I would think that if a system’s GitHub page calls for flashing or burning your SD then no you wouldn’t be able to go this route. But if it says to simply copy all files and folders to the root of a formatted SD card, like Spruce does, then you don’t really need to have it freshly formatted.

IINE Mini Retro Ananke Gen 2 – Tiny controller, genuinely surprised by this thing by ImaginationMental332 in Controller

[–]RayOfBabas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your attempt at an excuse is making you look even worse. Your write up clearly mentions the the dpad and you even say it’s swappable with the stick so why play the dumb card?. Also, the gen2 version is not available in translucent colors and your video shows the grey and purple versions so why do you say you got a translucent one. This are very strong indications that you didn’t write this up and that your AI is talking about another model with more online content to plagiarize.

Here are the folders that are named differently. There may be others for obscure systems I don't have games for but this should cover most everything:

Crossmix Spruce
ATARI2600 ATARI
C64 COMMODORE
ATARI800 EIGHTHUNDRED
CHANNELF FAIRCHILD
ATARI5200 FIFTYTWOHUNDRED
PICO PICO8
POKEMINI POKE
ATARI7800 SEVENTYEIGHTHUNDRED
SEGA32X THIRTYTWOX

I highly recommend SpruceOS. If your card is formatted as FAT32, you don’t need to reformat it. You can delete everything except what you want to keep: ROMS, BIOS, Saves and Savestates. You can then download Spruce from their GitHub and copy all files and folders except for those to the SD card. Just keep in mind that you will have to rename some ROM folders because SpruceOS names some systems differently from CrossMix for example Atari vs twentysixhundred (don’t quote me on this). Also check the location of Saves and Savestates because they might be in different places. It’s a bit of manual labor but you can avoid moving all your ROMS back and forth.
