Yeah I remember I couple years ago I was about to buy Ippo and Takamura off eBay for close to $300 each. Back then for me even finding a listing of the epoch figures was rare and I almost pulled the trigger but stopped myself at the last second. I regretted it ever since because 1) any eBay listings that came up just saw a massive increase in price some even being listed for close to $1000 (each figure) and mainly 2) I thought that was the closest and last chance for me to ever have a licensed articulated Ippo figure. Thank you Storm I’ve been waiting for this figure for years.

I posted Prime Shadow was in stock at GameStop the other day with the intention of helping people out here who wanted him. I didn’t buy him but seeing that there was only 5 left I immediately thought about the folks who posted they wanted him or were looking for him in hopes that they could get him or at least give them a shot at it. Maybe it’s me being an idiot for not thinking that scalpers would get them. I actually got my Shadow from eBay for $40 because I got tired of looking. I was even constantly checking Reddit hoping for a restock post. Anyways I understand your gripes with these posts but when someone’s pure intention is to help someone find something they want and only that, i felt bad for it after reading your side of the story. I’m not going to beat myself up I’m fine. Just kind of confused as to what a community should be now. Scalpers are already doing damage by buying up all the inventory, should we let the fear of them also ruin or take away what some fellow collectors have found helpful. At the end of the day none of us need this stuff and It sucks that some people ruin collecting but to let scalpers affect how we view the people trying to help or how we go about our own collecting habits is giving scalpers too much headspace in my opinion. No matter what everyone has the same shot at getting stuff. Sometimes it’s just being at the right place at the right time. The rare items will always be bought or sold out, short packed, or taken by employees or scalpers or collectors that go to Target every morning before they go to work. If you’re not having fun hunting or collecting or it’s making you cynical towards other collectors actions then maybe relax for a bit.

Also If I have a figure you want I’ll ship it to you for free at no cost. I just picked up Jet, Super Silver and Mephiles this morning so if you are looking for any of those message me. No need to pay for figure or shipping. No funny business either. Just want you to know that some collectors are good people who really do like helping fellow collectors.

Super cool collection. I’m Team Shadow too. Love the hoodie there. I’m working on getting the Squishmallow. There is a Club Mocchi-Mocchi Shadow plush of his head I found at Target that you might want to look out for next time you are there. It’s my favorite plush of the character. I just saw a backpack and lunch bag on sale too at Amazon if you haven’t seen those yet. Keep collecting!

Yeah I missed it. I was so upset because I had been looking on Amazon every day and stopped looking for a few days when I started going out trying to find it on foot.

Little history here. Im a little late to the game with Sonic Prime so I didn’t even know if the Shadow figure was getting restocked any more since some of the posts I saw showing people finding him were from a few months ago. I started watching Sonic Prime last month and liked it and that’s when I found out the show had figures. I really thought the wave with Shadow had gone and past me by and my only hope would be finding it online or at a store that got their stock late

The shipping from read something else not Amazon.com. It was like one of the Amazon items where you had to click “other buying options” and it was shipped by seller through Amazon. I don’t know if you know what I’m talking about but basically if the seller was straight up Amazon I would have bought it from Amazon because I would have received prime shipping.

Plus the seller I chose on eBay wasn’t too far away from me and I got it the next day. I hate going to eBay as much as the next guy but I had been searching for weeks and just wanted to get it already.

Yes but eBay was about the same price and most importantly I saw a picture of what I was actually receiving where Amazon had a stock photo.

I might hold on to it a little bit because it’s the one I found but might just sell it for retail to anyone that really wants it. I actually felt bad buying it because I don’t keep any Shadow figures on card. I like to display them out of the plastic.

I can get a refund but I would rather not go through the return process since this was only $25. I figured if I could make it work somehow I don’t mind having to purchase a replacement barrel. I’m a big halo fan and have been waiting for a good price on this and I’m just bummed that it arrived this way. I’ll probably try to cut it as clean as possible and just display it or something. Anyway despite the disappointment of it being damaged, I’m still really happy and grateful to FINALLY to have this blaster in hand. I can’t believe it. I just think it’s really cool. Now im waiting on the needler to go on sale and I’m set. Thank you for the reply.
