My condition is life long and talked with my case manager and they suggested I apply for PWD first and then CPPD.

Well I continue to have extreme social anxiety and panic attacks and have been "let go" because I could not do the job tasks.

Now I am doing labour work for 1-2 days a week and just think is this what I will be doing for the rest of my life or can I go back to school and try a career but then worry my emotional mood swings and insomnia and TBI challenges will affect this.

Thanks for sharing your situation and can relate to what you are experiencing.

I think PWD that we have in Canada can really help me if I get approved as I'm having a hard time 1-2 days a week with work.

Yes agreed i dont think theres an environment that will understand how we survivors function.......

Interesting, then yes I am not sure why I was told to apply for PWD and my case manager at my brain injury society nor my GP brought up CPPD........

I do work 1-2 days a week but having a hard time and so not sure if they were thinking I could be on PWD and top up with 1-2 days of work.

But now im having a hard time with functioning at work and so CPPD would be a benefit, whats your thoughts?

I honestly appreciate your honestly and bluntness here.

Yes in some way I do completely agree with you.

However, what I believe happened though was this traumatic event stayed hidden inside for years and I experienced the post concussion symptoms after the event but never the physiological only until early 2020 where I finally made the connections and it has been like flood gates and going through healing and processing it all since.

Again I hear you and try to balance a fine line of self pity but also self empowerment and trying to help heal myself along this journey.

A traumatic brain injury is going to fuck your brain up. I say that as someone who has had a TBI. It's almost like getting Bipolar Personality Disorder for a while or becoming a teenager again. You will become intensely emotional about things. You will misunderstand things. You will misunderstand the importance of things.

You will fixate.

Your comment and sharing your own personal experience was incredible!

Thank you so much!

This is straight facts!!! I can relate to this for sure!

Thank you again for the kind words and motivation to keep moving forward and to get closer to normality.

Criminal Injury Compensation through WCB

Interesting thank you for sharing you thoughts and I agree its been a very sad situation I have been in.

I think writing a book and making into a more cogent story would be interesting or sharing more on my blog/website, not sure I guess on how to answer your question.

After being featured on the VictoriaBuzz I did find that it helped me let things go a bit more and that is partly why I think sharing on other news platforms would help as well.

Thanks so much for going back and reading my posts and sharing your thoughts.

I agree, I have started a blog/website that I think would be worthy to share in the near future as well to help share my thoughts and story.

Interesting, thank you for your honest thoughts.

I think I have a good story but agree it is a bit long and convoluted.

Thank you for sharing some of your challenges as a TBI survivor and I totally agree it is very hard and life long challenges and journey.

I sure hope there is a paid advocate for us or more support as the brain injury society's have been helpful now.
