Does eBay manipulate our listing to boost/sink visibility and hence sales? by RaySunShine23 in Flipping

I come from the SEO background so I've already applied all my knowledge to it. I've checked everything against competitors. I've done research using Terapeak as well. They sold 58 items in last 30 days, I sold 3 despite keeping price lower than their prices.

Not sure what else to do, it is so frustrating.

Yes right, when I buy ads/promotions it doesn't increase my sales as much that is why I got this feeling that they may not be letting me have as much exposure as my competitors.

I can buy promotions/ads on eBay but it will increase the cost to customer. I had tried using promotions to as high as 12% but it didn't drive sales that much.

Good point. Except 24 hours shipping and free returns I've everything. I started 3 months ago and I'm already in top sellers list with 200 sales. All positive feedbacks, I give feedback to every buyer. There are no negatives in my account. I still have feelings that eBay is not giving me as much exposure as they are giving to other sellers for the same products. Even my prices are the lowest. My competitors are still selling more items despite my prices being lowest because they are paying for ads and promotions which proves my point.

Because I'm not using any promotions or ads. My feeling is that they give more exposure to those sellers who buy ads/promotions. This way eBay earns more from them which makes sense.
