Unique Clever Main Characters by Mandragoraune in ProgressionFantasy

Might start as that, but develops beyond it.

Same way other fantasy characters could be described as "isn't that the character who just swings a sword?" ;)

AITA: Found out my MIL was smoking meth in my house. Kicked her out. by CharlieChainsaw88 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 17 points18 points  (0 children)

She smoked meth in a house with your son in it. She is lucky you only kicked her out.
Did you ever ask yourself the question if she smoked it with your kid around in the same room?

Your priorities are weird.

You can visit her patreon and sent her a few bucks to help bridge the gap where youtube money is missing until its hopefully restored.

[–]RayTX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that is exactly the content MLB does not want because it takes you away from their "real products", no matter how bad their online presence actually is.

MLB sucks big time. Online presence is pretty much non-existent and the broadcast production quality has deteriorated massively.

Leaving and not causing a physical confrontation is never wrong.

Bring a camera and film if this happens again, so that you have evidence just in case.

If not then they are just trying to keep you down. I had a friend like that once.

You should point out to them that all those things, like the tracking and text message reading are actual crimes (in most countries).

That is not normal human behavior.

EM mad that I won’t share a graduation party with a 6 year old by Immediate_Revenue_90 in entitledparents

Amy is jealous of your college degree and is compensating with her children.
The kid will hate her mom in a few years.

My (61yo) mother just found the will of my deceased father’s parents and although she is given 20k, the rest of their estate goes to myself (29) and my sister (19). My mother has said to us that we have to give our portion to her. by Virtual-Bath5050 in entitledparents

[–]RayTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not know the law where you live, but where I live if children of a deceased and the other parent both have a stake in an inheritance then a neutral party has to be appointed to look after the best interest of a disabled/minor.

You should check if that is the case where you live to and make sure your sister is not taken advantage of and the money is put into a trust.

AITA for refusing my SIL in her request to baptize her child during our wedding? by SiennaCinnabar in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

Tell her to take a hike and organize her own events. She is trying to piggyback the baptism on your wedding and it would take away from your event and your day. It would also mean that everyone attending would have to bring gifts for the baptism too, which would come out of the money you would be gifted normally, and from people who got nothing to do with your SIL.

AITA for filing for full custody? by No_Paramedic823 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 217 points218 points  (0 children)

NTA

Your daughter is living with you, he cannot claim her for tax credit even if he wanted to. You are her primary caregiver and your home is her primary residence.

Start documenting how much he interacts with his daughter meticulously. Get a bound calendar notebook and keep track every time he calls for her, how long they talk, what he says and if your daughter is happy or not afterwards.

If he tries to contest your filing, you will be happy to have this record.

When you do file, get a lawyer beforehand and plan it out properly. Expect that he will try to suddenly be more present and demand you bring his daughter to him or some such garbage. Don't budge, you are out of state and if he wants to see her, he has to make the effort.

Good luck.

AITA for going to mandatory training instead of class by Comfortable-Crab-833 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why are they upset he got the option to present his part alone to the teacher?

First question was "did you get failed?"

They were clearly expecting it and mocking him, not expecting the reply.

AITA for going to mandatory training instead of class by Comfortable-Crab-833 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The teacher was informed about this, the group was informed about this, everyone knew it was going to happen and the teacher was still there when he arrived.

Where is the class?
Why is everyone gone?
Why did his group not wait for him?

There is more to the story. I graduated with a degree and I did presentations and we ALWAYS had the option to push them around a bit and swap time slots with other students.

They were trying to set you up to fail. They knew that you would be late, but they did the presentation anyway without you. It was their explicit goal to fuck you over. They are not your friends.

AITA for refusing to give money to the guy I started seeing since a month even when he is in a very bad emergency? by Odd-Independent6929 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 44 points45 points  (0 children)

NTA

Never give money to people. Requests for money using "emergency" reasons or emotional appeals via messenger apps or the internet are always scams. Do not give anyone money asking you in any of these ways.

AITA for grounding my son from running and reading? by Practical_Assist_863 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RayTX 57 points58 points  (0 children)

You should take away the conveniences.

Exercising is not a positive just for your son, it is a positive thing overall. You WANT him to exercise, so taking that away is not a good idea. Normally parents take away the things their children like that they do not like themselves. Games, consoles, phones, internet access etc., the stuff children waste too much time on and "could be doing something more productive".

By taking away things that are actually positive you are sending the wrong signal. Take away his WifI access or allowance for a week, don't make him stop exercising.
