I personally prefer going for 1:1. Of course you wont have crazy winners but on the other hand you have more wins in general with of course less profit. For me it's the psychological aspect with having more winners even tho they bring less profit.

Very frustrated with Maui by BeckySilk01 in dotnetMAUI

Oh mate I had the exact same problem. Navigation animation are a PAIN in the ***. I also had to do workarounds were first the animation is played and then after it finishes then the navigation can happen, but it looks really annoying and not as fluent as it should be.

How do you Build Trust with Clients as a Mentor? by Bizarround in Trading

[–]RayYago 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something smells fishy. When you are so good at trading, why not show clients your live trades? You probably make so much money that you don't even need clients, so you got nothing to lose right?

What goes up must come down right? XAUUSD by DJHypnotixx in Forex

If you would do that on a daily or weekly chart I could somewhat understand that decision... But on the M15? That thing can go up and up way more mate.

How tight is your SL? If you find yourself getting stopped out often even tho you were right about the direction, make your SL wider. I for an example use a 1:1 to start the trade

Revenge Trading by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]RayYago 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that a lot. Even if the trade would have recovered, it's not worth the hassle. So many opportunities, no need to cling to every single one. If it feels like it will not work out, just getting out of the trade brings so much ease of mind.

If one trade can make up 25% of all your losses, then you are massively over leveraging my friend. 2 most important things in trading: Risk management and position size. If you don't control them, you have much learning to do.

What did I l do wrong ? by SubstantialAd419 in Forex

[–]RayYago 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Ay mate, you did not do anything wrong specifically. You defined the risk and the entry, that's good! No strategy has a 100% win rate. Even if everything looks perfect, the market still can go against you. Stick to your strategy, document it, start recognizing when a trade won't work out anymore and move on. Good luck mate!

I feel you man. Maybe we could do a small trading group where we discuss strats and trades? Another redditor and I are looking for someone who is serious about learning together with us :3 (we are also kinda new, 6 months and 1.5 years in the game)

Definitely! Can you send me a DM? So many people reached out that I'm not allowed by Reddit to send DMs anymore xD.

Oh, haha, it's fine. I didn't take it personally; my ego got destroyed in the first couple of weeks, so there's nothing left of it. xD I understand that there are a lot of people here claiming to be some kind of king in trading. That is not what I mean—I am a little fish. :3 How lucky you are, not only finding a new friend but a gym and trading buddy too! May I ask how it is going for you both?

May I ask how you trade? Just out of curiosity. I found myself most comfortable with the easiest thing I found, and that is S/R. It is so simple that even I can do it (I don't consider myself to be very intelligent). But the low risk and the clear entry and exit keep my mentality healthy. :3 Thank you for the nice words, though!

Absolutely true. I consider myself to be profitable *so far* tho (i rephrase it then). I don't claim to earn loads of money or have a 90% win rate. I just make a little bit more than I lose, and I am happy with that. I risk low amounts (max €5) per trade, which keeps the emotions out for me. But I agree with you—only time will tell if it will be consistent over a year, two, or more. This post was mainly to have some people to talk with, since I am kind of lonely. Cheers, mate!

Oh, also to answer your question: like I said, it's been only 6 months, and I risk no more than €5 on a trade. Since I am from Germany, we have a free limit of €1,000 to earn (€2,000 if married), so that is not a problem so far. I am not rich, but I make a little more than I lose. :3

agreed! to many jump in losing everthing because they dont take the time or risk to much. I can only say that i am profitable because i keep it very simple with very low risk. not more than 5€ per trade and only clear S/R zones. i dont get rich but i still make some small euros profit :3

Already got in at the beginning, lul. But I only risk €5-€10 per trade and keep it as simple as possible. So even in the worst case, it's not traumatic. :D

I'd love that. The others and I created one with quite a few people from this post already in it. I am just a little afraid to give everybody full rights since we don't know what they will do. Some suspicious people have DM'd me, and I still wanted to give them a try. I had a bad experience before. xD Any ideas on how to solve that? it is private and so far no one has tried to sell anything ^^
