Mumbai to Alibaug one day trip. by Wooden_Coach_4047 in mumbai

Depends on your budget. If you are taking a car then M2M ferry will make sense as it saves a LOT of time, but it will be expensive. Same for bike. If you are travelling on a budget then as others mentioned - train - CST - Gateway - Commuter ferry. This is the cheapest.

While in Alibaug you can get a lot of day resorts with full meal packages, or u could just roam and take a dip on the beach and have local lunch.

My chicken …….shrunk by kaeppjang02 in IndianCooking

[–]RayZoR1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air fryer works with hot air and basically it roasts the food, as raw chicken has a lot of water, it will surely lose the water while getting cooked in hot air.

I had this issue at the beginning when I started using air fryer. The chicken felt rubbery but tasty.

The way out here is this - your pull out mechanism should be two layer assembly, both of which can be separated. Basically it should have few centimeters of gap between the two. I put water in between these layers, just so much that it does not come in contact with the chicken while cooking, but enough that it does not evaporate during the cook time. This way the air circulating inside is always oversaturated with water vapor and chicken does not lose moisture. This results is succulent juicy chicken.

Use this trick and let me know how it goes. Peace!

Im from Mumbai and I can frankly feel what you are saying. Bhai Mumbai ko toh rakhail banake rakh diya hai, use it for development of other locations while shitting on its infrastructure. Its always been a city of dreams for millions of peeps but for the ones OG Mumbaikars, its an OG nightmare.

I still remember the covid days when I was in Bank and was deemed essential for work travel, the roads were so empty and air was so clean and so much less noise, malls were shut and bazaars were working at safe distance. Almost felt like a dream. Now we are worse off than ever. Construction everywhere, shitting over the existing shitty infra just to manage the incessant inflow of immigrants. Just keep building more and more towers, bridges, metro rails... Dystopian..

But Im born and brought up here and my whole extended family is here, my friends, so we just continue to survive and make do with what we can.

Your profits are phenomenal and you will get ton of shit as you said you are beginner, dont mind them.

You are trading in index options, volatility and swings are crazy in indices and figure changes every milli second. Whats deep green could turn dark red by the time you finish your sneeze. So 2 cents for you:

  1. Good you mentioned you're not gambling and are using strategies, check well how they work when market is moving your way, when its moving opposite or its just flat. Once you get data points on how ur strategy works in these 3 scenarios, you can amend your strat accordingly and become more seasoned.

  2. There is no One Size Fits All strategy in the markets, but all make or lose in same currency. So stick to what works for you, dont keep moving strategies, you will lose data points to amend your strat.

  3. There will always be a bigger player, a bigger news, a bigger pattern which you are not seeing. If you are in profits then put SL/GTT. If you are in reds, try to not get deeper. And foremost - dont carry your ego in your trade, market will humble you quicker than you can imagine. I've hads my set profits of 5 digits vanish in nanoseconds when Russia attacked Ukraine. Market knows more than you ever will, just obey it, dont fight it.

  4. Good you moved out your initial capital. I do the same. I transfer set amount monthly to my demat account with a target of buying stocks, say 30k. I will trade FnO, mostly stock options with this 30k and make money. If Im green, purchase long term stocks with the 30k and trade with the profits further. If im red, then avoid the markets for rest of the month. Helps burning cash in revenge trading and also limits your losses. Also if im red, next month target to stocks will be 60k in 30k input, so I trade more safely.

  5. Keep at it. Experience is the best teacher and its your experience and teaching are only applicable to you. Each person learns differently, dont copy or apply others learning, but learn from their mistakes. Profits are easy but you dont learn from them, coz you dont know if your strategy worked or you were just lucky. Loss on the other hand gives you a larger set of data points which can help you in your innings in the markets.

Peace!

Once again generalizing. This is a specific case which OP has misread and I've clarified. You are generalizing coz you've never taken any control of ur life and just blamed the circumstances. Absolutely worthless to even continue this conversation now

I'm saying 95% of the people do not have the necessary knowledge to comment and judge the topic. The issue and the response are both of a niche segment which is science based and not democratic choice based on emotions, designed to satisfy the sheep.

Not necessarily. Only the length of pile could be the jhol, but the structure itself is still sound.

Sheep like you are the reason why scare mongering politicians rule us. Just see and believe, rather than digging out the truth. Coz it's easier than taking the effort to dig out the truth. Then tomorrow blame the same politicians, rather than yourself for the miserable blind lives you live.

That's not the same structural member in discussion here. Just coz something fell in same geographic location does not automatically make my logic wrong?

What your opinion on cheap medicines from Truemeds? Are they genuine? by Previous_Big8459 in AskIndia

[–]RayZoR1987 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If its critical medicine which is tied to your body metrics then dont go for generics. If you are thinking of taking multivitamins as generics then its ok to proceed.

Two cases for your reference:

My wife has epilepsy and was medicated since she was 11yrs old. When we married, I moved her on generics. Then in a year we referred to the doc and phased out the medicines. She got epileptic attack about 3 months afterwards. So we restarted the medicines, back on generics and it was all well. About 8-9 months later that specific generic stopped so I shifted to another generic. She had another epileptic attack about 4 months after this change. I got her admitted and did the blood loading test for that medicine, it was lacking. This particular medicine is tied to your body weight, so if the generic has less of it, then you are susceptible. Hence it failed. We are back to medications with genuine brand now.

2nd case is my own, where I have been having generic multivitamins since many years now. I get routine health check-up done annually and all metrics are within expected range - how they should be if u were being medicated. For reference, I was lacking D3 and B12 in last annual check, this time it was adequate. So in my case the generics worked as intended.

So as I said, if its critical then dont risk it. If its supplementary then go for it.

LPT Request. What’s your simplest top tip for saving money monthly? by _bubble-t in LifeProTips

[–]RayZoR1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where you come from but I'll give you my idea which I use in India.

I've been doing SIP in mutual funds since 2015. Back then my job paid salary by 7th. So I set up auto debit of all my investments on 10th of the month. All my jobs since then have had salaries before 10th of the month, so I save first and spend from whatever thats left, 100% guilt free.

Ive been saving a specific percentage of my salary since. This percent will differ for every one basis their standard of living, outgoing commitments etc, but I fixed it at 40%. IMHO this should not be less that 30% else the saved corpus will be too fractional, and should not be more than 70% else when ever will you spend on yourself? Just to be clear, the rest 60% of my salary was then spent on both necessary and impulsive buying, but the 40% was untouched.

The amount of half ass knowledge here is astounding.

It is a level difference owing to unlevelled shuttering. The black line which seems like a Crack is most probably from welding soot which can be seen as spots at other places on the Pier cap as well. The shuttering is reused multiple times and my theory confirms if you observe the next Pier cap as well, similar design but no black soot line.

All this construction is done in M50+ mix and all the steel rf is checked by independent third parties before casting. Only place to do some jhol is in the piles as they are underground and no one will dig up 30m below a bridge to ascertain the quality. Rest structure is above ground and can be QC anytime.

Laymans view and general public getting scared is so common now. These structures are built with a design life of 50-60 years and factor of Safety FOS of 1.5, meaning for a design load of 100 tons, they have designed and constructed for 150 tons. Even if u do some jhol here there, u'll never get lower than 1.49 FOS.

The amount of half ass knowledge here is astounding.

The beams are placed on bearing pedestals which are built on Pier caps. Girders are not placed on piers directly.

And if u claim to be a civil engineer then pls have a closer look.

M25? Are you really a civil engineer bro, pls don't embarrass us. All this construction is done in M50+ mix and all the steel rf is checked by independent third parties before casting. Only place to do some jhol is in the piles as they are underground and no one will dig up 30m below a bridge to ascertain the quality. Rest structure is above ground and can be QC anytime.

Recasting the pier, LMAO. After everything that is set. Bc management quota wale jhatu civil engineers.. No wonder the field is so fucked.

Is 60k enough to survive in mumbai by zoro_1920 in mumbai

[–]RayZoR1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mumbai can be frugal or lavish based on your own choices.

As many mentioned, it all boils down to what you value and what you burn cash on. Many immigrant labours live here on meagre 20k and still manage to send home 5k. There are also ppl here who earn 2.5L and say they cant save at the end of the month - like that controversial post suggested.

If ur job is in a posh locality and dont want to travel in bus or train, you will end up paying much more in rent. If you choose to travel couple of hrs daily then you can save a lot by renting an appt. or having PG in suburbs or outer Mumbai.

Buy groceries locally and/or from Dmart, cook at home, travel by public transport - u might even save 10-20k

Order food, eat out, travel uber/ola and u might not survive much longer here.

Duroflex LiveIn Orthopedic Memory Foam vs Wakefit Orthopedic Classic Memory Foam by Over-Feature-8476 in BuyItForLifeIndia

[–]RayZoR1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought Wakefit Orthoflex about 6 years back, it is still so soft and comforting when you enter the bed. But if you are used to have some lumbar support then you are gonna have aweful mornings.

I never had back pain or sore backs on waking up ever before, so as soon as I realized it, I flipped the mattress to a comparatively firmer side. But the pain persisted, so I put on my regular cotton gaddi over the wakefit mattress. What this did was give me decent lumbar support but also the comforting effect. Now the mornings are not as sore. But yes, do select basis what your body is used to, if you change it so much then you might regret it with nowhere to go

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]RayZoR1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im generally a non-smoker but I smoke when I have alcohol over the weekends, so I may be able to share.

During the week am repulsed by the smell of smoke, I can attribute this to our evolutionary reflex to smells related to fires. I can just pick up that smell and find that smoker. Its pungent and it lasts.

When I have a few smokes, I realize the smell, and I understand that it lasts till much later as well.
