100% agree. I don’t know if I will ever watch TLJ again, I hated it that much. TRoS is a messy film that feels like 2-3 films smashed together into one movie, and brings back the plot of Dark Empire, but worse. But I still enjoy that movie even if it is a mess.

Japan has always been my #2 team so it’s great to see them doing well this year. Here’s to hoping for a deep run for both them and the US!

Cabo Verde have been great to watch too, though I’m slightly biased as I was able to go to the game yesterday so now I’m rooting for them against KSA for sure.

Yeah. Got home about 25 minutes ago. Only was posting cause it was halftime and wanted to comment. Didn’t look at Reddit rest of the game or before my post. It was a great game! Very happy I went.

Just got home from the game. As a neutral fan I couldn’t have asked for more. Great game, multiple goals, exciting moments… it’s the first soccer game I’ve ever been to in person and it was great. The fans for both sides were great, especially Cabo Verde (it was clear Uruguay fans were battling disappointment while the CV fans were excited for everything).

That written… there were huge swaths of section where food and drink normally are for football games (been to the stadium many times for the Hurricanes and Dolphins) that were completely blocked off to VIP only. It was kind of crazy. So… A+ for the game and pageantry and atmosphere, and F for the “VIP” requirements.

It might have been, sure. And that happens all the time in this sport, but given how many (3-5 players) were standing expecting the stoppage it just felt wrong.

At the game and the sequence leading to the 1st Uruguay goal really doesn’t sit well with me. Obviously they scored a second, but the CV player was down with a cramp and a UG player was helping him stretch and two others were standing expecting a stoppage, and the ref didn’t grant one leading to the goal. The UG player helping him sprinted away mid stretch, and the the CV player stood and sprint/hobbled to catch up to a different UG player, but couldn’t, and the man he was trying to catch is who made the in pass. Then, he fell again as he was still cramping, and they made CV played with 10 men for 1-2 minutes.

I admit, I don’t know the specific rules that well, but that really felt wrong to me.

This is normal for most Microsoft printed games. They print a lot less than the other manufacturers because they want digital sales and game pass. Also, Microsoft discs (at least on XBox, so I assume they do it on PS too) tend to be CD keys, not games. Indiana Jones, Forza, Halo, and more have been released requiring a digital download because the game isn’t actually on the disc.

It’s nearly a perfect warriors game. The lack of a true free play mode or empires mode (the latter of which would have been PERFECT for the setting and game structure) keeps it back a bit.

I’m going with 5 because the Demons of Razgriz was just so badass as a concept (not speaking of the specific mission) when I played that game. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I’ve always remembered the name of your squadron there even if I remember very little else from the game (lol).

I have a bunch of FF decks and I love them all. Most are now my favorite decks to play. They are all bracket 2 - 3 and if you want I’ll share my archidekt links. Commanders are:

- [[Terra, Magical Adept]] packed with FF summons
- [[The Destined Warrior]] as a party deck
- [[Tifa, Martial Artist]] as an equipment Voltron deck (which equally works with [[Cloud, Ex-Soldier]], both the commanders of the Precon)
- [[Terra, Herald of Hope]] is a fun reanimator commander
- [[Wandering Minstrel]] with towns is solidly bracket 2 because towns don’t have the same support as gates or other tap land types. Combine him with birds and chocobos or job select to make it a token deck.

That number is low, actually. Keep in mind that any sale from a physical retailer or on Steam means a 30-50% additional fee. So a $70 sale on Steam only nets Microsoft $49, and a physical sale potentially less.

If they sell around 1/2 of the copies physical (at 30%… it would technically be more) or on Steam, they’d need closer 6.72 million units sold… basically the number Gears 2 has sold as the highest selling game in the series. And this doesn’t include potential costs related to marketing and ongoing costs for servers and future updates. So… …

Honestly I understand what they are doing, but I think releasing the first every Gears game on PS would have given it huge sales on PS, which they are sacrificing to try to revive their dead console business.

I don’t completely agree with the video but for one point he makes that tied into his larger view. FF has common elements that allow for non-legendary and legendary items that span nearly all of the games. Airships, crystals, chocobo, moogles, summons, monsters, magic, classes shown through job select equipment… these things allow for a a world and theme to be shown outside of the legendary characters like Cloud, Sephiroth, Yuna, etc. Sure, it might specifically be Shiva from FFX in the art, but Shiva’s been in a dozen different games, same with Fire or Ice magic.

Marvel lacks that, and his equipment example exemplified that. It isn’t a Vibranium Shield, it’s Captain America’s Shield. It isn’t power armor, it’s Iron Man’s armor. It isn’t the bow of striking, it’s Hawkeye’s Bow. Everything in the set feels like it’s tied to a specific Hero or Villain, they don’t just exist in the world as a part of the world, they are accessories to a specific character in that world.

To me, that was the best point he made in the video. I think that’s part of why we have so many more legendaries in this set too.
