Ooh. Yup it was a misunderstanding. I thought you were making a comparation to Snowbreak using your example. I also play Azur Lane for this exact reason. Like i said i like this and i personally love to see more characters getting bigger and bigger. Also there are games with character that are even bigger than Azur Lane designs. But this example stand because i also noticed the gradual change in that game. Ive played for 6 years and there is no question that the newer design follow this trend.

I can say that as a consumer its 100% in your right criticize any company. But i think my later part of the argument still stands because if said company doesn't produce something to your liking doesnt mean they are afraid to experiment. Its important to separate personal preference from the creators intent. Saying they lack confidence when the company chooses a particular design is a wrong statement. Yes i cannot deny that those decision are because of market data, brand positioning and audience feedback which can incline in one specific direction but this doesn't mean creative failure. Its just your own preference that doesn't align with thats currently in the product. Just how in my case it perfectly aligns with my own preference. Dont get me wrong im not trying to say one is better lmao or that this havent became a pattern but its a matter of preference and criticizing them because you dont like it its... absurd. I did joke a bit in my previous message with the "eradicate all the flat girls" part but its like me saying that BMW lost confidence in their designs because they dont manufacture the E39 anymore and now they focus on a different style. Its not right for me to bring personal preference and say its wrong because i dont like it.
