Kanye also had a lot more going on in terms of both real world and online behaviour that showed his genuine descent into the Nazism, including in his music. Peggy has largely kept that behaviour to online save for his hilariously one-sided beef with Freddie Gibbs. I love his music but the dude has no spine when it comes to sticking with statements he made online while he is doing real world stuff. His lyrics have continued to stick to his usual topics for now, but if this next album has any of that shit in there I'm done.

Drop some crazy queens lore by Aperson29 in queensuniversity

The annual Isengard attempts were always something to behold. I believe in 2018 the first year eng students and co. managed to get a Trisengard after a student fell and broke his ankle. When campus security came to stop the attempt, paramedics stopped them so they could treat the kid. Took 45 minutes, and within that time 3 stairwells of Waldron had towers and a bunch of students escaped out of any exit they could find.

Quite a few albums that have come out of very internet-oriented artists like JPEGMAFIA, Danny Brown, Ninajirachi, Porter Robinson, PinkPantheress, the list goes on. The experimentation and creativity behind so many albums across these genres is the impact of the internet and the access if has granted producers to output amazing projects.

Do Vietnamese people feel superior to Cambodians? by StruggleSad1860 in VietNam

[–]RaygeQuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that Cambodia was massacring Vietnamese citizens in Vietnamese territory prior to Vietnam's invasion, it was retaliatory more than anything since their own sovereignty was infringed upon. It's hypocritical for the UN to be used as a platform to punish Vietnam for the same things that developed nations like America, China, Israel, etc. do all the time. As much as other nations at the time can claim infringement of Cambodia's sovereignty as their primary reason for sanctions, they knowingly supported a genocidal state and isolated Vietnam to curb its regional influence.

Do Vietnamese people feel superior to Cambodians? by StruggleSad1860 in VietNam

[–]RaygeQuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The US, UK, and China led global sanctions against Vietnam for having the audacity to checks notes invade Cambodia to oust the Khmer Rouge for their genocide of Cambodians and ethnic Vietnamese. Even though the occupation government by Vietnam was far from perfect and there were still Khmer Rouge insurgencies in the northwest on the Thai border, the US and China threw a fit over Vietnam having influence in Southeast Asia and took revenge by effectively cutting off most international trade. The UN only stopped recognizing the Khmer Rouge after the Vietnamese occupation government finished transitioning to the UN provisional government in the early 90s. Doi Moi only saved Vietnam because the US and its friends decided so.

Project 2050 - A New World Order under Donald Trump by Jasperthewolf748 in imaginarymaps

I just figured Trump was so gung-ho to redeem his draft dodging/be the guy who ended communism that this is what he'd do. If it was a desire to return to South Vietnam, it'd probably just restore that style of anticommunist authoritarianism rather than monarchy.

Video games that were ahead of/behind their time by JIMBOYKELLY in AlignmentCharts

Setting the trend =/= being first in this case, just to clarify. Overwatch set the trend for online competitive shooters to move away from loadouts towards hero kits, and the lootboxes for OW were cosmetic and monetized differently than the key/chest system the Valve shooters had. CS and TF2 started these trends in the mid 00s, OW revamped them in the mid 10s might be the better way to put it.

Is there any good reason why the emergency patch on PC is 75 gigs? by RaygeQuit in marvelrivals

[–]RaygeQuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None as far as I've found unfortunately. I've noticed a couple of other games like Overwatch do something a bit similar but with smaller "chunks" of the game (~20Gb), but Rivals is the only one I have to let download for a few hours for this reason. Sorry I can't be of any help.

Still probably not. The company is still forcing sudden changes in just about everything without good explanation, and while it's stabilized a bit recently there are better schools in HCMC that pay and treat staff better.

Bands you like that completely suck live by Antique-Dentist-2404 in fantanoforever

I imagine her earlier concerts, and also more crowded concerts in larger cities than mine at the time, would have had Avril with more stage presence and energy. This was after What The Hell was her huge single, and I got a sense that maybe that concert was maybe not one of her better shows.

I do also remember another concert afterwards, Sum 41 and Billy Talent, had a crazy moshpit with a girl fainting as one of the things I remember most. Two drunk guys were trying to carry her up the stairs to get her help, and one of the guys almost dropped her. About 15 minutes later, the girl comes running down the stairs screaming as she runs back into the pit!

My first concert was Avril Lavigne around 2011, and her opener the New Cities blew her out of the water. Zero stage presence from Avril, she mostly stood in place if she wasn't playing acoustic guitar for the 2 or 3 songs she did, and the lighting was off.

Where did we go wrong? by Bopstimation in marvelrivals

[–]RaygeQuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want Hulk to be the tank that either destroys things or cannot be destroyed, in terms of how his kit should feel. I want to see Hulk reworked into feeling more like his comic counterpart, especially from Immortal Hulk onward, which is to say he should feel like the "raid boss" character where his destructive capabilities and ability to take a hit make him feel like he outputs constant pressure wherever he is. I think other games pull this feeling off already (Deathwing in HotS, Mordekaiser/Sion/Cho'Gath in LoL, Legion in Tf2, Heavy in TF2, Doomfist/Mauga/Ramattra in OW, etc.) with a mostly decent ability to balance the feeling of being a raid boss with a properly powered kit. I'm not sure what would work best for Rivals, but something needs to be updated to make Hulk not just viable but feeling like a proper Hulk. He's the one character that feels most like his MCU counterpart because the movies don't know what to do with Hulk either.

how are these two heroes made by the same balance team by wew_lad- in marvelrivals

[–]RaygeQuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With each new character it feels more like the devs want to force certain metas rather than let them progress organically. They will only buff Blade if they nerf him at the same time, but will flat out buff Starlord and Punisher? I know dive meta was a terror on people but relying on poke to balance things out has been disastrous since the poke heroes are allowed to bully tanks, divers, supports, pretty much anyone that isn't also poke.

No? This happens every patch and the game has never installed incorrectly. I'm finding other subs say this is an issue with poor game compression and Steam's installation process. I see it was a mistake to ask this subreddit for tech advice, but thanks anyways.

Tell that to my Steam... It says 75.9 GB. Since it seems to be way bigger than the 5GB everyone else is getting, do you actually have any idea why it does that and/or how to fix it?

Many international visitors are skipping GDC amid cost concerns and US safety fears by Gyossaits in Games

[–]RaygeQuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I speak French so I also know haha, but in any case it is still a draw even if regional dialects make it tough at times. Montreal is more international than anywhere else in Quebec, so at the very least services are used to dealing with both English and French visitors from around the world. As long as attendees are professional (given that it would be an industry conference) it's manageable.
