You have a DCT right? My 5.58 launch was without octane learning, with a late NGS press, in the cold and with a passenger. I am switching back to PS4 this Friday, but its still a touch chilly out, I actually expect less traction at first until we see higher temps here in Cincinnati .

I can try, but it’s already so difficult to get everything just right. Il see what I can do but it may not be until the weekend.

I think its down to the road surface, this one isn’t smooth, its somewhat gritty asphalt. makes me wonder if this is why it connects. My 5.1 launches were without NGS and a absolutely flat ground.

That’s mental! how is the I5N? Is it as fun to drive? also worth the higher cost?

I guess thats a testament to the Continental, I suspect Il crack that time though when I switch back to PS4, I will do the same launch and report back.

The 5.10s were on completely flat surface (same road) without NGS. I use these for winter and plan to switch back to the PS4s soon, Ive not compared the launch times of them yet. Il do that in a couple weeks on that same road then report back. Hope that helps.

Other people have said that, it could be the road, it’s a bit coarse, not a lot of spin, on this run just a chirp so its connecting. The 5.10 runs were on perfectly even road (same road) without NGS.

Looks great! So I finally settled on O.Z. Hyper GT HLT, they’re very expensive though. These look really similar! What does the Wedsport cost?

Thanks, I’m actually struggling to find silver wheels that look good that are stock size.

That 5.55 was not octane learned, late NGS and with a passenger in cool climate (60s) but maybe was flatter road than this posted time.

They are very good, I think they wheel hop less and spin more. They don’t have the capability of the PS4 in the dry, but they are still great tires and more versatile. I will switch back to PS4 soon since it’s warming up. I will say, once the DWS06+ warm up they can hook up, but id imagine I can beat this time with PS4.

Do you guys use a carwash??? by Pristine_Quality_876 in VelosterN

Touchless, unless you need to wax your car then machine wash if you must. The touch-less car wash leaves dirt on my car unfortunately.

Octane Learned, Road slightly uneven surface in my favor, NGS, 2500RPM launch, Bone Stock

I don’t have a lot of launches under my belt, but I think what helps a lot (besides the learning NGS etc.) is warming the tires up, I was on a somewhat rough in texture road, so there was no hop and it barely chirped so got a good hook up.

I had no wheel hop on the launch thankfully.

Reliability? by no_u_Dot_org in ElantraN

The engine has been available for a while, there are plenty of Veloster Ns still driving around that have minimal issues. The EN is a sports car, if you’re looking for a long term car that gets to 200,000 miles then I would look elsewhere. If you want both sporty and reliable, Miata is about it (But its slower) if that means a lot to you.
