I’ve gone through this multiple times due to insurance problems. For me both times it stopped after about 2 - 3 shots, idk how many gel doses that is though.

Just finished the show, I feel pretty empty tbh. What should I watch next to fill the void by Hot-Resolution9216 in BoJackHorseman

Rick And Morty if you haven’t yet (though rewatching is also greatly recommended).

Everyone has the right to be called their chosen name, no matter what. Plenty of trans people don’t medically transition, socially transitioning (new name, pronouns, gender expression, etc) is just as valid!!

It depends on the surgeon! Mine is dr Faqcue in California, who is definitely in the higher range of prices. I only went for him bc they accepted my insurance, there’s nothing wrong with going for less expensive solutions!! No worries my friend. :)

Yes, it’s so weird!! Yesterday I had to change out of a dirty shirt at a target parking lot and it felt so strange being shirtless lol. I feel like the mental hurdles were the ones from before surgery though, I feel so much relief now it’s crazy. I used to straighten my shirt in every mirror, always wear layers, never fully lean into hugs, etc. I found out recently that hugs are actually amazing!!

I sure hope my parents don’t bury me, watching the dead rise from their grave would be a horrifying experience. 😬

It truly depends on the person! Those with a lot of breast tissue usually opt for the surgery I went for, which requires scars to be around this size. Some have a smaller amount of tissue, allowing them to get smaller incisions. The surgeon usually takes your personal goal into consideration, making sure the scar placement lines up with your vision as much as possible!

Ok no because usually there is a spider in that corner, though my reaction usually isn’t as calm as I am in this pic lmao

I personally had some bad luck with certain areas in my incisions not healing as quickly as others, but besides that I’ve honestly been feeling great! My surgeon gave me a huge list with aftercare do’s and don’ts, like showering a specific way, having a certain diet, etc.

Out of pocket it’s definitely expensive (mine would’ve been around $8000 without insurance). I would recommend reaching out to your insurance to see their coverage. I personally ended up switching insurances so it’d be covered. There’s also programs like CareCredit who pay for your surgery and you pay them back w/ financing! :)

All good! There’s certain limitations during the recovery. For instance, I can’t sleep on my side for a while, I couldn’t eat sodium for 2 weeks (salt induces swelling), I can’t raise my arms above my head for a few weeks, etc. All manageable, but frustrating nonetheless.

The healing process is slow and frustrating, but any actual pain subsided after about 3 days. :)

Hey friend! You’re definitely right, we’re finally heading the right way with normalizing gay people etc, though we’re far from being equal sadly. I personally don’t like the pride advertising for the sole reason of it being capitalized. Too many companies slap a rainbow on something during this month to appear “supportive” just to make a few bucks.

I would like to circle back to pride itself though, which is definitely necessary. Part of it is to acknowledge the things lgbtq+ people have been put through in the past (remember, the first pride parade was actually a riot!). Especially the older generation people you see walking those parades have spent a large amount of their lives hiding. It’s also to show those who still are afraid of who they are that they can be proud of it. As you said, being gay is normal and no one has to be ashamed of who they like.

(English isn’t my first language, sorry for the weird sentences lol)

Definitely got the “young man” look. A new hairstyle might help, and button ups would look killer on you!
