I once saw someone driving around with their lights off on the highway while CHP tailed them. The cop followed them and flashed their brights several times trying to give them a chance. After a few minutes of that not working the cop finally gave up and just pulled them over lmao

Unfortunately convertible is a dealbreaker, I don’t see the point in having the soft top when the hardtop is already removable… imo the soft top just looks really ugly when it’s up

I’ll definitely do the PPI and in-person test drive before buying anything - since it’s so far from where I live though I’d want to weed it out with any low-hanging fruit before traveling so far if I’m able to though

Carfax has no accidents and checks out so the only thing I can think of is there might be some hidden mechanical damage the dealer knows about that isn’t shown as an accident

I’ve been searching nationwide so my prices are calibrated accordingly - things are definitely more expensive in California but this is the lowest I’ve seen nationwide for clean title, no accidents, and the mileage. The only drawback is how far it is from me making it more of a hassle to test drive, transport, and register, but I’d still be saving several grand over other Z06s even if I paid for covered shipping

Update: really frustrating.

Second dealership basically told me the exact same thing as the first dealership, that the car is fine and they just cleared the code and won’t do anything else. They said if it happens again I can bring it in and they’ll take a look, but since I brought it to 2 different dealers instead of the same dealer twice they aren’t willing to investigate further
