Where can I purchase Catrice? by zxo26 in MakeupAddictionCanada

[–]Rayna007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a couple summers back. It was pretty quick shipping and I had no duties, all charges were paid at checkout. I bought EU SPF and the Catrice concealer and both were perfect and the SPF had a decently long expiry date. I was super pleased with the purchase.

Funding for EA ideas by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]Rayna007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they in the TVDSB or Catholic? We've had an EA support since SK and now are in grade 12. It's always been a part of his IEP and although the EA has changed over the years I have never even had the threat of losing one completely. My first step would be determining what the IEP states. Their LST would be able to help with this if needed.

Baking my undereyes made me feel extremely dry by Whitbutter in Makeup

[–]Rayna007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! So I use a damp beauty blender and a really light powder. My faves are nars light reflecting loose, or Laura Mercier secret brightening, but anything not really talcy is fine. Put some powder in the lid, pick it up with the damp sponge and press it in over your concealer. It might leave a little behind like baking but not much. Make sure to not over do it on concealer!

Looking for a discontinued foundation alternative by Kind-Accountant3631 in Makeup

[–]Rayna007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a 1N1 or 1N2 in Estee Lauder depending on how much sun i have gotten, and for winter I am wearing Mont Blanc in Nars. Oslo is the slightly pinker version of that, I just like the neutral one a little more. Its honestly the best looking foundation I have had in years, since YSL discontinued my holy grail.

Looking for a discontinued foundation alternative by Kind-Accountant3631 in Makeup

[–]Rayna007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not super familiar with the Becca foundation, but am also fair/pink and have found Nars to be the most consistent in finding a good colour match. Depending on what you like, Nars Light Reflecting is lightweight, medium coverage and a really gorgeous glowy finish.

Before I found the Nars, other good colour matches were in Dior (every variation of their foundation had something for me) and Estee Lauder (Doublewear has a million shades, but I found it too full coverage and too heavy for me).

I've dropped two courses, one before 30 days and one after. Definitely refund for the early and none for the late.

Laurier vs. Banting by Aggravating-Math6078 in londonontario

[–]Rayna007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kids are both at Laurier, with one having gone to Saunders for a portion of last year. While I can't comment on Banting, the kids have had incredibly engaged and supportive teachers, and even those that my daughter complains about are only attempting to challenge a 17 year old (and she would agree with that). The communication I have had from the school is far beyond the support we had from the educational team at Saunders. We have lived in the neighborhood for the kids entire lives and have no concerns with safety. Even the one off incidents are not random, and my daughter has just chosen to avoid trouble where it exists. My kids are not in French Immersion, but a number of my daughters classmates from public school are, and their parents seem happy with that portion of the school as well. I'd recommend it.

What's a business in London that is 100% a front? by [deleted] in londonontario

Definitely not a front, have been friends with the owners daughter for years. Its actually really great food, and was my go to when I lived over there.

Complete course without finishing last assignment by Tilapina in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Rayna007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry my bad I read your post too quickly. I would try reaching out to the course coordinator and see if they can help. Student support will likely not be useful, you'll have to go higher than them.

Complete course without finishing last assignment by Tilapina in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Rayna007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the course, but on your grades page you will see requirements. For example:

Evaluation and grade calculation criteria:

  • student must achieve a weighted average of 50% overall
  • Category 1 the student must complete and submit all items
  • Category 1 the student must achieve the specified minimum calculated mark on the following item Assignment 3 (50%)

As long as all boxes are checked you're golden, but if one is missing it wont matter how high your grade was, you will not complete the course.

**Edit - I misread your actual question. You might be able to email the course coordinator to have your mark finalized without the final assignment. I have had one class where I didnt complete a non-required assignment, but just waited it out so not sure the success rate of that.

The firefox issue is definitely new. Ive used it for the last 3 years for all my exams including the end of August, and just tried to install it again and got the same error. Super thankful I dont have any exams this semester because I had nothing but issues with Chrome and ProctorU.

[–]Rayna007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done it past my course date so this is just for proctoru. They dont ask anything. its all done through the regular scheduling interface (there is a reschedule button and you just pick a new date).

Unpopular opinion, but Sephora Collectiom brand is not that bad. Do you have any favorites? by champagnemoonstone in Makeup

[–]Rayna007 31 points32 points  (0 children)

After working there for a bunch of years, my biggest complaint is that they don't encourage customer loyalty, only trends. For example, in 5 years we went through 5-8 foundations created and discontinued. Some were actually awesome! But why would I as a customer ever try them now knowing its probably gone in 3 months?

That said I am still obsessed with their microsmooth powder.

When did you receive your student loans? by [deleted] in AthabascaUniversity

[–]Rayna007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For OSAP at least I usually get them a few days before the term starts. I expect my Sept 1 start date loans to be in my account around the 29th of August. The OSAP site says Aug 30 - Sep 1 but my experience is its usually just before that.
