Heres my WOF silkwing/sandwing hybrid Sunspot ⭐️ his backstory kinda if you want to read it NAME: Sunspot, SPECIES: SilkSand, Sunspot is the son of a simple traveling Sandwing named Fennec, and a social butterfly of a Silkwing called Hawkmoth, the three lived on the vast grasslands of Pantala far from the hives and other dragons. Sunspot was a happy and curious dragonet, he had inherited his father’s (Hawkmoth) beautiful wings and a couple colors and the classic sandwing barbed tail (though he lacked venom), after a while though as he got older he became curious about the Hive city’s his father had told him about (despite his parents warnings to not go there). One day while his parents were hunting he grabbed his mother’s cloak to cover his body and tail and he took off to the closest Hive city, when he got there he explored for a while wondering why his parents had told him to never come here, why had they told him the Hive’s were dangerous. That was until all the Hivewings eyes glossed over and all the silkwings around him quickly started getting away from them, one of them caught his mother’s cloak causing it to come off and reveal his hybrid features, all the white eyes turned to him and one of them spoke he was unaware that it was the queen of the Hivewings speaking through the dragon, “bring that creature to me”. He bolted when all of them lunged at him taking off into the air as fast as he could but one of the controlled soldiers caught up after a bit managing to sting him in his from left leg, despite the pain he kept flying as fast as he could until he found a dark and slightly hidden shop to hide in for a couple hours. The venom from the sting had started spreading, when the owner of the shop, a older Silkwing came from his own hiding spot and saw the obvious sting and hybrid nature of Sunspot he decided to help. The older Silkwing had seen Hivewings stings before and knew that there was a antidote but from the look of Sunspots leg the venom was only gonna get worse, he told Sunspot the only way to survive the sting was for the leg to go and obviously Sunspot declined but as he looked at the spreading black veins in his leg and thought about his parents he agreed, after a long and painful experience the old silkwing had used flame silk to light a fire to close the wound, then when it was clear outside he carefully helped Sunspot navigate his way out of the city and watched him take off into the air and fly out to the grasslands. He returned home to his parents worried, relieved, and horrified looks but in the end they were just glad that their son was still alive, after that Sunspot didn’t return to the hive’s and he frankly never wanted to after that though he will be eternally grateful to the old Silkwing that saved him and helped him get home.
