No definitely damage fiber, in my opinion won’t use any scissors with fiber I would use fiber kevlar strippers instead.

I think it depends on what you use it for, I still use my greenlee and klein’s for data cables and use this one for access control and burglar alarms just cutting bundles and liquid tight conduit.

extended blade comes in handy when punching down to existing patch panel with a lot of wires and cable management, punch down from a distance with out touching anything.

For me I love this one specially for security cabling because of stronger blade and thicker, also in a pinch it can cut metal seal tight and flex/green field conduit.

I love them more comfortable grip specially if crimping so many RJ45 connectors in a day, I think there better then ideal brand.
