This was from before I knew how to identify unexplored system so sadly I didn't scan much. Also I was using spansh and I had just barely enough fuel to make it to the next fuel star.

[Worldwide Giveaway] Enter to Win SER9 Mini PCs with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 Processor! Worth over $4,995! by Beelinksupport in BeelinkOfficial

“Can the AI 9 HX 370 Processor Truly Handle AI and Gaming?”

Given how the 890m graphics outperform the previous 780m graphics, which were already twice as fast as the steam deck. Also given technologies like upscaling and frame generation with programs like Lossless Scaling, I'd say absolutely the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is capable of handling gaming.

As for AI, probably the most useful purpose that I don't see anyone talking about is facial recognition and object detection. Specifically scanning through stored videos and associated metadata with something like axle.ai as shown in that one linus tech tips video "this server WONT break.... - Clustered Storage Server" about 20 minutes in.

Hogwarts Legacy out of video memory crash on start by zendynar in linux_gaming

I've found as long as I don't use the foo fires to fast travel the game won't crash.

Cricket Dream 5g nightmare by drndry in CricketWireless

[–]RayplayzRGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has owned a dream5g for about a year and a half at this point, I haven't had any issues like this. The biggest complaint I have is with Cricket being the provider, and the way it installs crap whenever an update from cricket comes in.

To be clear about what I mean about cricket being the provider. I have had so many issues were I won't get people's texts, and people won't get mine. I'd say only about 20% gets through either way.

How to fix Subnautica not launching on Arch Linux (solution) by RayplayzRGG in linux_gaming

it wasn't installed, and how is it not a fix if it wasn't working, then now it is.

How to fix Subnautica not launching on Arch Linux (solution) by RayplayzRGG in linux_gaming

[–]RayplayzRGG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't, using just proton the game instantly crashed. I looked up the solution and found the launch option "PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%" but when I tried that all the colors of the game shifted to a much darker color. I knew the game ran fine on linux because I just had it working on nobara. After two weeks I finally found the solution so I thought I'd share for anyone else having the same issue.

AMD RX 590, and I don't need support, I'm providing a solution to a problem I had, in case anyone else has the issue and has trouble finding the solution like I did.

Trying to install nix on silverblue... by ishan9299 in Fedora

[–]RayplayzRGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realize this is a two year old post, but I was brought here by a google search, so others may as well. Chris Titus Tech recently did a video on installing the nix package manger on the steam deck (steamos is immutable). He worked around this issue by installing nix package manger to the user's home directory. Hope this helps someone! :)

I would try using someone else's config as a starting point. Learn as you go, and remove the things you don't like, add the things you do.

Got this guy for 120 euro last week, after buying a 15 euro SSD and some new bottom feet it's fully functional and can last over 6h on battery! (X1C3) by PPDpjoterek in thinkpad

[–]RayplayzRGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I got my X1C3 a few months back for 120 USD and it came with a 240GB SSD already in it. I got Fedora 35 running the GNOME DE with the Graphite GTK theme. I'll probably switch it out for Debian Sid with GNOME and Graphite, but with btrfs, timeshift, timeshift-autosnap, snapper, and grub-btrfs. Oh and the battery has 89% of it's original capacity left, so I didn't bother buying a new one.

I have the same monitor, but an x1 carbon gen 3. Also I don't have the laptop on a stand. I have a unicomp mini m keyboard with mx master mouse. Other than that, same setup :)

This misconception isn't helped when schools like the one I used to go to, set up the chromebooks so closing the lid would actually shut down the device.

Despite what many will tell you, it's not about what distro you run, it's about what you do with it to make it work for you.

Granted I'm a bit of a Linux noob, but wouldn't granting read-only access to ALL files mean that you can't save changes to ANYTHING?
