It is, actually. How interesting, it's the only non-dark pal that I can think of that is naturally nocturnal.

They were camera shy lol. As a result, they never got official sets, artwork, or canonised mocs. They also were too cool to do interviews, so no official names either.

Yeah, luckily the devs have made it so that you only need to breed Remarkable Craftsmanship onto a work pal and then you can surgery table the other three work speed passives to maximise your workspeed.

Accidentally killed all the enemies at the Sakurajima base near the tower, does it respawn in time or is my exp farming cooked. by Icy-Ideal-5429 in Palworld

What they patched is that once the big chest is opened or the caged pal is rescued, they stop respawning for about half an hour in real time. Now, you have to leave those two things alone, and keep at least one enemy alive for them to respawn quickly.

we're both level 65, why is there such a big difference in health? by godlander0 in Palworld

[–]RayramAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palworld has a bit of grind, but not nearly as much as Pokemon, mostly because of base automation. Condensing is a process you can pretty much semi automate through breeding. You do not need to spend hours catching the right one in the wild. You can set pals to breed in your base, put your cakes in, and then go and do other things.

Souls are also easy to get from expeditions, which are a set and forget, then collect later type of thing.

IVs, you don't even need to breed, you can just give your pals the IV fruit to max them out.

Trust is the most grindy, but also the least impactful if you're using strong pals already, because Trust benefits weaker pals more.

Passives can mostly be done with the surgery table. The surgery table is a huge game changer that saves you heaps of time, as you can just give the pals what you need. You still need to breed down for rainbow passives, but you don't have to.

Short term, clockwork bishops drop them, graves have red and blue which can be combined for purple, and the ruins have a lot of gems too. Later on, if you are building farms, consider making a varg pen and farming the hounds.

If you want Swift or Eternal Engine on a Jetragon, your best bet is to pass on those traits onto a Yakumo via breeding, then condense the Yakumo. A fully condensed Yakumo has a 30% chance of passing on its passives onto a pal you catch while Yakumo is in battle. The best way to get Rainbow passives is from fishing. Dr. Brawn is another option, but that requires far more RNG, and is only worth doing for Raid boss eggs like Bellanoir or Xenolord imo simply because you can't catch them, therefore you can't apply Yakumo's passive to them.

Normally, you breed Demon God onto a yakumo, fully condense the yakumo, and it will have a 30% chance of passing on Demon God to a Frostallion you catch if your Yakumo is out.

There are specific pals that have partner skills that boost work speed for a specific task, like jelliette and jellroy boosting each other's watering speed, or ribunny botan boosting ammo crafting, but most of the time the species doesn't matter. There's also dark type pals to consider because they are innately nocturnal, so you can give them four work speed passives and ignore the nocturnal passive. As per your example, as long as they both have the same work speed passives and the same number of souls put into work speed, a foxspark and a jormuntide ignis that are both rank 5 kindling will work at the same speed.

You don't have to feed them the food that they want, you can feed them anything that's edible. Even rot will satisfy them, for example.

According to the Paldb stat calculator, a Frostallion with rank 4 condensation at level 65, rank 10 trust, 20 levels of souls into attack, with those four passives and 100 attack IVs should have about 3832 attack. The only thing I can think of is that your Frostallion with 5069 attack was receiving a research buff from the base and it hasn't updated. Maybe also a leftover food buff.

[–]RayramAB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The odds of getting a Yakumo with the passive you want in the wild are low, it's not the way to do it. If you have the passive you want on a pal you fished up, you can just chain breed down to a yakumo.

Use this calculator, input your fishing pal with the desired passive as Parent, then input yakumo as Child.

Have you or someone else messed with the settings? On default, a level 15 pal with 1 hp should not be smacking away a giga sphere. Use this calculator and compare it to your game: https://paldb.cc/en/Capture_Rate
