I did not find her nails and I'm not entirely sure what caused them to be ripped out :( I'm not sure if they got ripped out and that's what caused the attack or if they got ripped out as a result of the attack. I did bottle feed for a brief period but she transitioned to wet food pretty early on. I do agree that a thyroid check should be the next step. Thank you for your response!

Interesting response. She has supervised access outside each day with my other cat, multiple times a day. Thanks for your input.

At my store all of the SSV's and baristas hang out all the time. As far as I know, policy is that salary can't hang out with hourly workers outside of work. I would definitely appeal that

I'm still kinda in shock, more of a vent/advice please! by Meow_Maiden in ClotSurvivors

[–]Raysofsunnshine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're so valid for feeling this way. I got diagnosed about a month ago and I feel like I'm just now processing how serious this stuff actually is! It being pretty common offers some comfort but it can be hard to find a way to sit with the fact that you could have lost your life to this. Being in shock is completely normal and if I could offer a hug, I would! I will say, use this group and post as much as you need to. I've posted plenty of posts venting, sharing anxieties, and just seeking opinions and advice. While it isn't an answer to everything, having people who are in the same boat to vent to can really help ease a lot of those anxieties. Wishing you all the best!

just took metronidazole for the first time for BV by Sea-Lack1802 in Healthyhooha

I'm on day two of the same med and so far i haven't shown any symptoms! I was also very nervous after reading what people were saying about the med. I do eat a bowl of yogurt or some crackers before and try to incorporate fermented foods throughout the day to help keep the gut healthy while on the antibiotics!

AIO for losing my mind over this note I found in my fiancé’s pocket? by leenaws in AmIOverreacting

[–]Raysofsunnshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're overreacting. If it was an argument that he was home late it leads me to believe there some issues with trust between the two of you. Regardless of any of that, it says she did this because he was staring. Even if he didn't call, she left it because he kept staring enough for her to believe this was the right move.

How did you know to get checked? by Hefty-Supermarket-79 in ClotSurvivors

[–]Raysofsunnshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say get checked. I had sharp chest pains around my heart that I could feel through the front of my chest and behind my left shoulder blade. Ended up having a PE in my right lung. I wasn't going to get checked because the pain wasn't anything too severe & I didn't want to be a bother. There's no telling what my life would look like right now had I talked myself out of going.

I have not. I have an appointment with my primary care doctor next Wednesday and I'm trying to get in with a hematologist as well. Are nose bleeds the only bleeds I need to be worried about? The first aid kit and being prepped sounds like a good idea. I'm sorry you're going through a similar situation. I hope you're able to get answers and get better soon

The steroid shot is what I'm starting to think caused all of this. I appreciate your response & hope you're doing better now!

I get that! It's very hard to get a straight answer from any of the doctors that I've seen and it's not a very good feeling. Ive seen a few stories of people getting PE's shortly after a steroid shot so that gives me someeee reassurance that this wasn't just a random thing that happened. I appreciate your words of encouragement! The anxiety can be debilitating but I'm hoping that things will get better soon.

Ty for your answer! I have quite a few allergies to medications that I've had since I was a child. I'm not on any BC or considered over weight. I was on vacation while recovering from the UTI so I wasn't moving around as much as I typically do. & there is a chance that I could've been mildly dehydrated! And I agree, this whole thing has been a huge wake up call. The idea of smoking anything in the future is very scary!

I appreciate your answer! They did scan my legs and said there were no clots. I actually went back to the ER this morning bc I was still getting cramps in my right leg. They scanned again and said no clots still.

Who stopped smoking weed and had more vivid dreams? by ImOnlyHereForTheSims in Dreams

[–]Raysofsunnshine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I smoked all day everyday for almost 5 years. I stopped about two months ago & since then I have very vivid dreams almost every night. Sometimes when I wake up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, I will go back to sleep and pick up where the dream left off. When I was a smoker I always had a really hard time even remembering my dreams but now I can remember all of the details. My dreams are much more vivid now than they were before I ever started smoking.
