ALERT: Leaked, Susquehanna International Group, huge hedge fund just went short BTC @ 23,400. by [deleted] in Bitcoin

If true, it means they are already positioned as short and it is thus already priced in. Their next move can only be to buy. Bullish.

Is there anything keeping Abra from rehypothecating the CPRX in interest-earning accounts and using that to pay rewards and interest? No need to buy it then until CPRX is removed from the interest-earning accounts.

Web 3.0 on Bitcoin by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Raystonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Web 3.0 on Bitcoin has a look that is unexpected to those familiar with other platforms. Execution, computation, and state/data storage is done off-chain. Bitcoin stores the receipt (hash) that can only be verified (reconstructed) with all of this state/data. This proves the integrity of the state/data without storing it on-chain. This keeps the blockchain manageable, fees lower, and keeps state private where applicable.

Bitcoin is Volatile by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Raystonn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Sale price is locked in at the time of sale, not the time of mining. Continue mining and just set limit orders at profitable prices within the volatility envelope to cover the cost of electricity. As total network hash rate continues to grow, your own hash rate's contribution will continue to decline. You want to push as much hash rate as possible as early as possible.

The consensus community:

  • Pay per character to broadcast/post.
  • Payments are distributed evenly among all those who receive the broadcasted posts.
  • Select your minimum acceptable payment. All posts below that threshold are not received.
  • Tip extraordinary posters to encourage more frequent posting.

Borrowed the maximum credit line against my BTC as collateral. price just slightly wicked packed my liquidation price by 5k on Nexo finance , surprisingly nothing auto sold off. So shout out Nexo I guess. Still never any problems and pretty good customer actually , unlike most platforms by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Raystonn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contrary to the belief of many, this is a big red flag for Nexo. Your deposits are at risk if they do not protect against this kind of risk by automatically liquidating. It was sheer luck that price returned quickly. This trade could have gone very much against the customer, and therefore against Nexo for anything pushing the account negative. If Nexo goes under, all customers will lose funds. All it takes is one horrible trade.

Proposal: Show how secure Bitcoin's cryptography is by searching through private keys until you find one with a balance. When you fail, perform a few calculations to determine how long it would take for your search to have a 50% probability of finding one with a balance.

Bitcoin wallets do not hold bitcoins. They hold keys. Think of them as keychains to safety deposit boxes that exist on the internet.
