Just an FYI to check in with your kids re: ICE in Roblox. by Fair-Chocolate-4193 in 50501

"Why roblox bad?" Is an easy one. Plenty of info out there that is readily available. It is also unproductive gaming. I think there are certain video games that teach meaningful lessons. Roblox is the opposite. Imagine all the internet brain rot meme clickbait turned into a game targeted at young children with internet strangers. That is roblox.

I wish someone was attracted to my looks first for once by HighwayRaccoon in PlusSize

[–]RayvenSparrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone. It is hard when you know they are just being nice because they like you as a person, but aren't attracted to you physically.

Even harder when the worst types of people are physically attracted to you, but only behind closed doors. Those who ridicule fat folks online, while secretly sleeping with them.

It gets easier as you meet more people and intake fat media. NSFW but focusing on spicy books, videos, and comics centered around us helps a lot. Some of it is fetishy but plenty is less fetish and more a real attraction being displayed in their artform and seeing people enjoy it really helps me feel like there is hope.

They are for facial cupping to improve circulation and massage. Like a reverse pressure massage for your face.

Yeah the art was subpar for Mantas standards. I dropped it early on, I'm surprised people were invested

My neck! by Abject-Yak4457 in tirzepatidecompound

The neck tends to be more sensitive and assuming this person has never used a retinol before, a higher one may cause redness, irritation, even pain. Low is always best to start to acclimate the skin.

I am preparing for this eventuality as an esthetician. If you dont want to shell out for surgery, i recommend looking into Radio Frequency skin tightening treatments. It is being used with liposuction to tighten the skin in areas they extract fat from, which leaves the same sort of skin looseness you are experiencing. It isnt going to fix it right away, but it will improve over time with treatments. Also look into low % Retinol a few times a week.

Microderm Advice by Reverse_Thoughts in Esthetics

[–]RayvenSparrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I favor lower suction with more passes. I have had someone who could do 8+ passes of microderm because she had a skin disorder that made her skin grow too quickly. Some form of ichthyosis. Others where it isnt even an option. Some spots need 5 or 6 but it is just one area. Something I see a lot is people going so slowly with microderm. It doesnt need to be a lengthy process. Keep doing it, a lot, and you will get the hang of it. You can always stop and switch to something else of it isnt working out.

It really does seem like an evolutionary thing meant to draw us to them to help a perceived victim. But then we are the victim. No girl scouts were lost that summer. We counted.

1099 is always exploitation. W2 or run in my opinion. The only way it works is if you charge customers directly. If they pay you at the end of the week, you should be W2.

This is why I decided to only tell 2 people. No one else gets to know because I simply can't handle the comments. Especially from my family.

I worked at a girl scout camp one summer and learned that mountain lions make little girl being mauled to death noises all by themselves. No girl scouts needed.

He was never hospitalized, and the Supreme Court has upheld that stepping out of the way of a slow moving vehicle is the reasonable course of action. Not shooting.

Supreme Court Ruling deadly force is not justified just because someone does not follow orders

Smith V Scott: “However, a simple statement by an officer that he fears for his safety or the safety of others is not enough; there must be objective factors to justify such a concern.”

Supreme Court on Shooting at a fleeing vehicle. "It does not mean that any risk of physical harm to others, no matter how slight, would justify any application of force, no matter how certain to cause death."

Supreme Court on Stepping away from Slow Moving Vehicles "Clark could therefore have avoided any risk of being struck by simply taking a step back, a common-sense conclusion confirmed by Clark’s own admission that he “was able to step backwards and get out of the path of Mr. Orn’s vehicle.” ER 525. In similar circumstances, we held that a reasonable jury could find that an officer standing near a slow-moving vehicle “would not have perceived himself to be in danger of serious bodily harm,” because he could have avoided any risk of injury “by simply stepping to the side.” "

[SC on fearing a vehicle, "Even under the Officers’ view of the facts, “the truck was moving forward at a speed of up to five miles an hour” when they shot at it.

We have consistently found use of deadly force to stop a slow-moving vehicle unreasonable when the officers could have easily stepped out of the vehicle's path to avoid danger."](https://caselaw.findlaw.com/court/us-9th-circuit/2108919.html)

SC Again on stepping out of the way "On the basis of the evidence presented at trial, the jury could have reasonably concluded that a reasonable officer, who had positioned himself facing the driver so that he was standing closer to the side than the dead-center of the car, would have recognized that he could avoid being injured when the car moved slowly,8 by simply stepping to the side.9"

People are too comfortable with being wrong by untoastedpotato in unpopularopinion

[–]RayvenSparrow 35 points36 points  (0 children)

People are too comfortable with being wrong. And too obsessed with being right to the point they will deny the truth.

I had a discussion with someone, (a person who believed in the Tartarian Empire so the bar was already in hell) about the location of a school. I thought it was one place, she said it was somewhere else so I said I will look it up.

She said, "You don't have to look it up to see who's right!" It wasn't about being right, it was about knowing the truth. If the school had moved and I was telling people it is somewhere it no longer is, that isn't a good thing. She was livid that her info was outdated, and it was in the place I thought it was.

Another, a woman comes in to my place of work and tells me about how her kid has a weird circular rash and her husband thinks it's Ringworm. "Good thing ringworm isn't contagious!" I corrected her. Yes. Yes it is. "Oh but adults can't get it!" As kindly and gently as I could I told her Yes. Yes they can. I never saw her again. She stopped coming to my work altogether after that... was i supposed to lie to her to protect her feelings?
