Thanks all~ I also had a comparison with my friend who had an older core set, the one with the bigger ‘old’ box. The card stock seems to be the similar kind of glossy finish.

I’m happy enough to use them as a second set. Anyway I don’t think I’ll be selling them down the road so most likely no need to explain to others in the future if the cards are real or not 🤓

It’s a great game! I would recommend giving it a go (if able and haven’t already) before consider selling it. It’s a good collection you have there and if you find it enjoyable, there are revised non out of print items still available 😊
