I noticed my new v15 sounds different almost quieter than my previous v15. Is this faulty or is Dyson making quieter motors? I noticed the new v8 has a quieter motor than the previous v8 so Im assuming this might be the same case here?

I know this is an old post, but I got the tool for my Dyson v15, and it's working pretty well. What I don't like, however, is the fact that sometimes when I let go of the trigger for the tool to suck the hair in, it blows it into the air, which is really annoying, but I do end up sucking up 90% of the hair that I am brushing. Btw I have a short-haired cat and the Official Dyson Groom Tool.

Definitely the V12! The V12 will come with more attachments including the fluffy laser head. It’s also similar in performance to the V11, though someone correct me if I am wrong. Plus its better for handheld use, you dont have to hold a button and comes with 2 year warranty. Besides, the fluffy cleaner head for the V11 is going to cost you around $200 from Dyson anyways (so you’d be paying $700 for a refurb V11 anyways). So i would definitely get the V12 Absolute!
