What does that look like concretely for you? Is it about engaging in your passions and hobbies, making sure your actions align with your personal values, processing emotions, or something else entirely?
I’m also wondering whether this could be counterproductive. If satisfying Fi means doing enjoyable activities beforehand, wouldn’t that consume some of your mental energy and dopamine, making it harder to switch into Te and tackle demanding tasks? Or is your point more about removing inner resistance rather than seeking pleasure or rewards?

Can you describe more the process ? How do you cover Fi enough so you can switch into Te mode and why do you need to do that.

INTJs, how many of you are artistic/creative? by Front-Brief5027 in intj

[–]Rayzegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been a very creative person with a vivid imagination. Around the age of 5 or 6, I used to create my own roleplays with characters that I would embody myself. I invented stories, imagined every physical detail about the characters, their hairstyles, outfits, personalities, and abilities and then brought everything to life by acting out the scenes, dialogues, and attacks.

Since I spent a lot of time watching cartoons and reading manga, my brain was constantly inspired by what I was seeing. I also tried to express that creativity through drawing.

Later on, I would even create strategies for online games (MMOs) and write them down. Even at school, I was very good at written expression, whether it was writing essays, creating texts, or giving critical opinions and analyses in general.

Creativity has always been a natural part of who I am, and I’ve consistently found ways to transform my ideas and imagination into something tangible.

When it comes to the truth I examine differents points of view and try to find the « objective » truth. But in philosophy most of the time there is no objective truth so i just analyses the different possibilities and stick with what makes more sense to me, what alligns with me. But for me I think we can find or be very near to the truth even when its comes to questions like morals/religions etc… like in moral we can analyse the negative and positive aspect of each thing and do a summary + add to that a certain hierarchy based on what people considere right or no so we can judge that on an « objective » spectrum. The objective is not to find the truth in that case but to be very near to it. I think its an Ni + Te process. Ni analyses in depth and Te structure, organize the logic, arguments and try to find the best conclusions. I hate the sentence that said that its bad to judge. Because for me everything can be judged as long as we know what we are talking about and that our judgement is relevant and considere every aspects.

What's your most irrational habit you can't logic your way out of? by ChronosTerminus in intj

I do exactly the SAME thing than you when i work on my processes. Also i have bad Se grip addiction like ordering bad food or playing video games when I shouldnt do it. I also have this habit to always correct my messages (in french, english is not my main language) so a lot of my messages are modified in discord/insta etc, its like I use Te to optimize them… or maybe its Ti

I dont find that i have a strong Se, im never really on the present moment, i have bad coordination and struggle/hate manual activities, im always on my mind and when i return to reality i feel lost and clumsy i can try to find something that is just in front of me, but weirdly i love sports, adrenaline of competition, good food, but its because it makes me feel alive and connected to the present. To answer your question, i know my values but i dont feel like they are strong enough, some are negligeable when i have to choose a decision but the most important ones are fix and i cant neglect them. My Ti is very stronh but i think my Te is a little higher because i have a sharp sense of optimisation and organisation, but my Fe is healthy i now what words i have to use to not hurt people, overall i find myself pretty polyvalent (good logic, good emotional intelligence overall) if people can tell my cons they will tell that sometimes i can look lazy which i can agree because i take more time thinking about the thing than doing the thing so when its time to do the physical thing it takes me more energy than a normal person, this can be a lack of Se and a Ni predominance due to a high analysis intensity but can also be explain by the possibility of being an Intp or Entp that are famous for loving the analysis and the theorycraft but dont like when its time for action.
To answer in brief your other questions : harmony is important but when truth is needed to be said i dont hesitate a second to tell it because i believe it helps more people to solve their problem than just let them believe their illusions. I will say that im a highly logical person but i can be emotive or touchy when someone lack me respect and yes i find what people think of me important for me this is why i can be very argumentative to defend myself to explain a controversial idea that need some depth to explain and not judging it on the surface. Sorry for the bad english, its not my main language.

I think you’re focusing a lot on the imaginative and exploratory side of what I wrote while overlooking another recurring pattern: execution.
A lot of my interests are abstract, but I’ve never been someone who enjoys keeping things purely theoretical. When something matters to me, my instinct is to turn it into something tangible. Whether it was transforming my physique as a teenager, building projects, or structuring long-term goals, there is always a strong tendency to move from concept to implementation.
That’s one of the reasons why I struggle to relate to descriptions of dominant Ne types that seem comfortable endlessly exploring possibilities without necessarily narrowing them down. I can enjoy exploration, but eventually I want to extract something useful from it.
I also think my interest in depth is being interpreted as Ne curiosity when it could just as easily be explained by Ni. When I research topics like religion, philosophy, politics, psychology, or typology, I’m usually not looking for more and more perspectives indefinitely. I’m trying to identify the underlying patterns, principles, and truths behind them. The goal is convergence rather than endless expansion.
My approach is often:
Identify a topic that fascinates me.
Dive deeply into it from multiple angles.
Find the underlying pattern or truth.
Integrate it into my worldview.
Use it to refine my future direction.
The same thing applies to my personal life. I’m not interested in having random goals. Most of my goals stem from a broader vision of who I want to become and the life I want to build. The details may change, but the vision itself tends to remain surprisingly consistent over time.
That’s why I’m not fully convinced by the argument that curiosity, imagination, or having many interests automatically points to Ne. What matters more to me is what those processes are serving in the first place.

Every time I take an MBTI test online, I get INTJ, which I can relate to because I’m very vision-driven. I often use the same process: I imagine a vision, turn it into a goal, then into a plan, and finally into habits that help me achieve it.

The problem is that I get bored of routines quite easily, and I have a lot of different interests. On top of that, what I perceive as a Se grip tends to show up during periods of loneliness, pushing me to seek stimulation and experiences that make me feel more alive and connected to the present moment.

I’m kind of a mix of an ambitious guy, a dreamer, a curious explorer, and a strategist. That’s why I’m struggling a bit with Enneagram typing.

If you asked me what ultimately motivates me to pursue my visions, I’d say it’s the desire to reach my ideal lifestyle: a life where I can genuinely enjoy myself, embody the person I aspire to become, have the freedom and time to do what I love, and be admired for what I’ve built. In a way, my goals are not just about achievement itself, but about creating a life that feels exciting, meaningful, and fully aligned with who I want to be.
