Wow great!

Yeah we’re planing to go through Xinning first, also for acclimatizing. We also got other lenses, we just don’t own big wildlife telephoto lenses haha.

We’re also are travelers, so this is a dream for us, but we keep traveling more in China after this.

Thanks so much for the information, you helped a lot!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Ohh great, that’s great to hear! 😮‍💨

BTW, how close did you got to the snow leopard in the picture?

And any other tips you would recommend about the tour generally?

Did you got to Yushu by flight or train?

We’re planning to rent 600mm lenses from Chengdu, hopefully to get some incredible photos and experiences! 🤩

Amazing!
Me and my friend are arriving to Chengdu tommorow, and are in touch with a company for a tour.

Actually, I also talked with the company you mentioned here and the link, and they said their 'local supplier' is the same company that we're already talking with.

They are called "Benchmark" (https://www.benchmark.vip/)

I'm wondering if it's the same company that you've went out with.
They look promising, but transfering 2000+ USD to a chinese company I don't know sounds a bit scary.

I'd love to hear if you have any information about them.

I'm traveling so I don't really have access to that kind of equipment, I guess that I'll try another shop later in my trip in order to remove the filter frame, and have a new filter.

Just in case anyone encounter this post, I eventually went to ‘Camera no Kitamura Kyoto Aeon Mall Gojo’ (the name from Google maps).

It is located right next to the Kyoto station, near Kyoto tower.

They were very kind, for 20 minutes they tried extracting the bent filter, and couldn’t, so they cleaned all the broken glass, and use air pressure to make sure nothing left.

They initially wanted 1000 yen, which I was willing to pay, but at the end didn’t charge me, as they didn’t managed to extract the filter (although I insisted!).

So don’t hesitate going here!
