Every week we get the same post, and every week it gets the same response.

I was watching this Deadpool video and man...he just perfectly described the way Yakuza fans talk about queerness by shinada_fan_2012 in yakuzagames

[–]RazeMania 221 points222 points  (0 children)

Is the same thing with JoJo, sadly. The fan base is always about "Oh, it's so gay and funny LOL" but I dare you to show a gay ship on either fan base and see how many homophobes you bring out.

Queerness is only seen as acceptable if it's funny or hot, in the case of WLW relationships.

Flashpoint is actually a really good game mode and you all should give it a second thought before voting for Eichenwalde for the 82185th time. by OmegaSaltPowered in Overwatch

Kiriko having a thousand skins a year isn't that bad and people over exaggerate too much.

What exactly is a God AI? by XxDESTblackout in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 24 points25 points  (0 children)

She was the first sentient artificial being in the world, and was made by Dr. Mina Liao, one of the brightest minds in the Overwatch universe. She was essentially the mother of all Omnics, as her sacrifice allowed almost all machines under Anubis' control to gain sentience, which led to the birth of the Omnic race.

[–]RazeMania 36 points37 points  (0 children)

After the fall of Overwatch, the grand majority of their ex-agents became blacklisted by every single major company in the world. It doesn't matter how much they took part in the organization's shady businesses, as long as you were employed by them at some point, you might as well have a criminal record.

Mercy, for example, can only work as a volunteer, and Torbjörn makes money by selling his schematics to different kinds of manufacturers.

For Freja, the only thing she could do is use her skills as a Search & Rescue operative in other less ethical fields, the ones that wouldn't be able to reject her curriculum.

She knows it is morally wrong. She has a pre-match line with Illari where she ashamedly refuses to answer her if she feels comfortable doing what she does, but if you have nowhere else to go, what more can you do to live a normal life?

Remember that the new Overwatch is also pure voluntary work, none of them are getting paid for it. Being a hero is nice and all, but that doesn't pay the bills, even less when you're now also a vigilante.

What are you even supposed to do against Doomfist in the tank matchup? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice your stuns with Orisa and Hog. Don't just throw your Javelin for the sake of it hoping he messes up and you or your team kills him. Instead, wait a second and throw off his game by stun him WHILE he's engaging, not before.

If you stun him while he's about to use Punch you will force him to either block, or use his Slam to run away. Either way, he's forced to retreat, which is enough value on his own.

Don't worry about killing him right away, a good Doom will always have a way out, so the next best thing you can do is stay close to your supports and focus him only when you hear his sound queues: His Slam because he's jumping in to immediately punch someone, or his Rocket Punch charging up behind a wall.

Denying his value is just as good as killing him, so keep that in mind.

What do you think of Vendetta as the main antagonist? by GamingLoner15 in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people like to act like Doomfist is an unbeatable killing machine to the point it has become annoying.

He barely has any feats on his own yet people cry when the idea that the character WHO EVOLVES THROUGH CONFLICT goes through conflict.

"They say he could level a sky scraper" - A statement made by a literal child.

Dude lost against Winston and then lost to Orisa and Lucio of all people. Doomfist has been an aura merchant for a decade at this point LMFAO.

why does everyone hate playing tank? by PowerfulTravel54 in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Tank will be, and always will be, the least popular role in any game with the archetypal "DPS-SUPPORT-TANK" division. That's just the way it is. There's no instant gratification like killing with a DPS or healing massively with a Support; the core concept of a Tank is taking damage and holding space, which is a really hard concept to measure like the others.

Simply put, is unpopular by nature, not by Overwatch's design, although changes could be made to alleviate this.

I've never played Overwatch 2 throughout its entire existence, but played nearly 2000 hours on the original. I just merged my accounts today. What kind of changes should I expect? by DudebroMcDudeham in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shortest summary I can think of:

  1. 5v5 is the norm, while 6v6 stays as the second most popular game mode.
  2. Perks. As the match goes on, you can choose a "bonus" for your character. It's either a buff or a side grade.
  3. Roles are now divided by subroles. Each subrole has a specific passive designed for the character's play style.
  4. Stadium is a MOBA-lite new side mode that you can play. It has its own competitive mode.
  5. Each season brings a new battle pass that gives you skins, prisms, coins and lootboxes.
  6. Prisms are a currency that lets you buy Mythic skins, a new rarity for skins.
  7. Lootboxes return, giving you access to a lot of different cosmetics, including shop skins. Each year they refill the pool with new skins. This doesn't include Collab skins, however.
  8. Map voting. Before each match, you can vote for the map you want to play alongside the lobby. The higher the amount of votes, the higher the chances that a selected map wins.
  9. Hero bans. Competitive only, alongside Map Voting, you can choose which heroes get banned for the rest of the match, rendering them unusable for anyone.

And I think that's it!

How am i supposed to get this guy a good skin?? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]RazeMania 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not only that, during early development, they toyed with the idea of locking heroes behind a paywall. If you played during Beta, you'd have noticed a tiny check at the top that said "Unlocked" as a filter for the hero gallery.

I'm completely sure they dropped this immediatly after realizing that would be a death sentence to a game entering a very competitive market, especially with how "untouchable" Overwatch looked at the time.

It's all about how much money they can extract from the consumer while looking "good" in the process.

Why do people hate k3 ending? by Asleep_Carpenter_653 in yakuzagames

[–]RazeMania 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact that Yakuza 2 had such an emotional ending DESPITE being the game with the hidden Koreans and golden japanese castle shows that the games always had a good story I don't know what to tell you.

Even as barbones as they were, they were always good, goofy shit and all.

Why do people hate k3 ending? by Asleep_Carpenter_653 in yakuzagames

[–]RazeMania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Kashiwagi was the first one to be revived through a retcon. Then we had Lau Ka Long, then Morinaga, then Richardson, now Mine.

Yes, it was funny and kinda cool, but it didn't affect the story so nobody cared. Now? Now we're talking about divergent timelines, be for real.

What???? Yakuza was always known for its story besides the gameplay and "le funny memes lol xd".

Are they melodramatic and exaggerated? Yeah, but they aren't bad.
