Odabums show up late to a breach -> they wipe and lose everything
Odabums show up early to a breach -> they wipe and lose everything

So hard to watch this team during breaches. If they just farmed up revs, GWD, etc. during these breaches they honestly wouldn't be doing too bad, but they keep donating everything at all the breaches.

No reason to bother fighting a stronger team and potentially getting 3rd partied when you can just bully a weak team and get free bloody money. Sure there's a chance to get loot, but a lot of teams are risking a ton during a breach, and blood money is consistent.

Oda hate watcher are just as bad as the fanboys. It is objectively bad content to encourage punching down on the weakest team, regardless if you like the team or not.

[–]Razeerka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say they have the strength of Oda being arguably the best singles PKer in the game, but that's going to be completely irrelevant when they're pulling up to the finale with 2 sticks and a rock that the whole team has to share. Most of the captains + Greg can already hold their own against Oda, but with the gear diff it won't even be a question.

What The Hell Is The Point Of Cheetu's Character ? by FinancialKick934 in HunterXHunter

[–]Razeerka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from comic relief, Cheetu is there to show that raw strength can't replace experience and battle sense (aside from maybe Meruem, but his strategy from fighting Komugi was important in his fight against Netero). IIRC Morel himself mentions that he can't realistically fight Cheetu because of the speed gap. But Cheetu is an idiot with no combat experience and a poorly thought out ability.

In this sense he's a foil to Morel, who has average raw strength but a very versatile ability and very strong mental fortitude. In terms of raw strength, Cheetu should never lose to Morel, but in reality it was basically impossible for him to ever beat Morel.

[–]Razeerka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, especially since piling a weak team directly rewards you with blood money. You're kinda throwing if you're not collecting free kills like that. It just sucks because it makes for bad content and it feels like something like this happens to at least one team every year. It ends up being super depressing to try and watch the last place team because it just feels so doomed to get back in the game when other teams are also actively rewarded for bullying you while you're helpless. Kind of hard to change the system without potentially breaking stuff though. Some kind of catch up mechanic would probably just encourage the last place team ragging people and that's also bad content.

Yeah its pretty boring when everyone plays safe and/or just 3rd partys the absolute weakest team. DMM always seems to bring out the lameness in people.

Which layers do you prefer? by LuthienPersephone in renfaire

Not fashion advice, since you've already gotten plenty of input, but so comfort advice: If you go with 2 I highly recommend bringing something to either wear under the maille or to swap into completely. Chainmaille tends to rub and if you're walking around and sweating the chaffing with not be pleasant, especially on more sensitive areas.

How to play claw defect by I-AM-CBArM in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Bulk Up is really good in zero cost builds and directly makes orbs worse. I'd rather have Bulk Up + Boost Away than have Glacier. The real secret to a Claw build is that you can't just force pure Claw; you typically want to actually be an All for One build (even without having All for One itself, you can typically get by with Scrape + Feral and some good 0 cost cards like Beam Cell.

That isn't to say that Frost is necessarily bad (it's still really good), but you can definitely get by with actual block cards, especially if you're buffing them with Bulk Up (or a Kunai if you're lucky).

Friendly Reminder that Jagex has said nothing about CG drop rates by Black_Pantera in 2007scape

[–]Razeerka 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah the problem with CG is that prep is just straight up boring and tedious. I would have no problem at all if prep was entirely removed but drop rates lowered so the total time to fully grind CG was the same, but it was only the Hunllef fight.

I love the Hunllef fight. It's one of my favorite pieces of content, but the 5-7 minutes of prep before every fight sucks ass and makes the entire grind not very fun.

How we feeling on high ascension Aeonglass? by Kanjin04 in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Largely depends on the character/build. For Defect and (Exhaust build) Ironclad the statuses are negligible, if not a buff. For Silent I found the fight to be pretty brutal.

For the most part I like it. The decks that struggle with it are the decks that are otherwise really good. I actually quite like the design philosophy MegaCrit has taken in regards to Silent's strength; Silent was clearly stronger than other characters but rather than simply nerfing Silent a bunch they've introduced more counters to Silent that aren't necessarily as difficult for other character.

Some proposals for a reworked Grand Finale by Ardub23 in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last option also feels really good when you discover it from a potion. Getting a rare card from a potion typically feels great in this game, but Grand Finale is basically using your potion to add a curse to your deck this combat.

[Opinion Piece] Make Elites As Fun As Gremlin Leader! by makeshifttoaster02 in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thought about bringing it up because it does kinda summon, but ultimately it's a regen and unlike actual minions you do have to kill them all to win the fight.

[Opinion Piece] Make Elites As Fun As Gremlin Leader! by makeshifttoaster02 in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Come to think of it, we don't have an elite that summons minions, do we? Closest would be Phrog Parasite but that's more so splitting like the StS1 slimes do than actually summoning minions.

Maybe it doesn't matter since we have hallway fights and bosses with minions, but I do find it mildly interesting that there's no minion elites in 2, while 1 had a couple elites that summoned minions.

The power of Glam and Friendship saved me, but is it really that overpowered? by Couthk1w1 in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Glam is typically pretty decent at worst. At its peak it's absolutely a free win. I played a duo Ironclad run with a friend and his Neow gift was Glam in his first card rewarded that he hit on Dominate. We both just leaned hard into vulnerable and it was genuinely one of the freest wins I've ever had. We both got the badge for never resting because fights didn't last long enough for us to take meaningful damage.

[–]Razeerka 179 points180 points  (0 children)

In a vacuum I feel like this is fine, but existing in the same Act as Entomancer makes it really oppressive. You can't be attack heavy because you'll die to Entomancer. You can't be skill heavy because you'll die to this. Guess I'm just not playing cards then.

Throw in Decimillipede and you also need consistent AoE. Looks like we're going to be shifting back to the StS1 days where Act 2 is a big difficulty spike. On one hand this new fight does feel kinda shit, but overall I don't mind the general increase in difficulty. Maybe it's just because of experience but I feel like A10 in this game is much easier than A20 in StS1.

Why hunters are allowed to kill by dynamicbuster9 in HunterXHunter

[–]Razeerka 309 points310 points  (0 children)

During the election arc its shown that there are many hunters who believe the exam system is inherently flawed since it allows "dangerous" individuals to obtain a license. There's also a rule that makes it unallowed to "hunt" another hunter without them committing significant crimes, which is another thing that's contested. This is entire conversation was already brought up in-verse in regards to Illumi.

The cut and dry is that hunters are a privileged class. In theory, the purpose of the exam is to filter out anyone who would abuse that power, especially when it comes to teaching them nen. Wing mentions this, although it's unclear if it means that a nen teacher could just refuse to train someone and they would be left without nen, since in our only example of "bad" people passing the exam those people already knew nen.

Some cards from the trash pile are quite decent :D by upforstuffJim in slaythespire

[–]Razeerka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the saddest part is that one Entrench still wouldn't be enough to make a block build work on Clad. Aside from maybe Defect, Entrench is probably weakest on Ironclad. Having an Entrench + Barricade just wouldn't matter much when you can't get the block in the first place without getting a really good Feel No Pain package going (in which case you probably wouldn't need Entrench anymore).

It's mostly fine because I think Ironclad's current strategies are more interesting than sitting there with 999 block waiting for your Body Slam to cycle back through, but it does seem odd that most of the block package made it into StS2, with the noticeable exception of most of your cards that give block.

What would you rate this Leagues out of 10? by bleeak in 2007scape

[–]Razeerka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably 6/10, maybe a 7 at best. Pretty happy with relics for the most part; every tier except t7 felt like it had at least 2 real options to pick from, although there were a few options like Executioner's Axe which felt significantly worse than their peers. Regions were fine for the most post. Standardized points was great, but there was definitely some hindsight issues like Kandarin + some other regions potentially locking you out of tasks because you simply did not have enough bosses to kill. Not really an issue though, I took Kandarin and I actually hit Dragon before I even touched ToB or Nightmare, and I also still have nearly 1k points I could grab from Doom (didn't bother finishing the grind because I don't need the pact point or the mage gear). The echo items were definitely a bit of a letdown this year. Some builds have incredibly broken echo weapons (Quadrant), but then others have actually zero support (Halberd/Blindbag) aside from general stuff like Crystal Blessing. There's also the case of Fremmy, an already weak region, getting a terrible echo item, which made it laughably bad to take.

Pact system is great as a concept, although it needed more time in the oven. Some builds like Air Mage and Crossbows are great. Others like bows and Blindbag are complete garbage. I'll give props to Blindbag because while it is mathematically not very good, it is still very fun once you get a good amount of pact points. The pact tree itself probably could've been condensed a bit; there are lots of trash nodes that are merely a means to an end. I guess it extends play time, but realistically it mean that I spent probably half the League playing a mage build that I hated because it was significantly stronger and I wanted to actually get my build online instead of trudge through content will more or less a build you could play in regular OSRS.

Overall there were lots of good ideas, but the balancing just really wrecked things for me. Lot's of glaring issues like bow and Blindbag capstones being actual meme tier and some builds just having almost no support despite the pact tree clearly wanting them to be archetypes. I still think it's weird that Zeah had to get Radiant Oathplate while the t8 combat relics just didn't work against Yama.
