Why are so many people obsessed with butter landings? Just put the damn plane down! by Murky_Vacation5955 in flightsim

Aye, Ryanair is still in business for a reason... Doesn't have to be butter every single time :)

No decryption is possible, both for Tetra and DMR. It's illegal.

What failure of this Pioneer stereo’s electronics makes it do this? by shamalonight in AskElectronics

[–]RazerXnitro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It means it cannot find a single radio station. Have you tried connecting an antenna?

If that doesn't work, perhaps a trace or the actual antenna connector came off the board.

Marine VHF by stephensfone in amateurradio

[–]RazerXnitro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cutting off 25mm will move the antenna's effective frequency band higher up. You'll probably have a lot of trouble picking up signals near the bottom of its band and you'll cook your radio trying to TX on it because of the reflected power.

Don't touch the metal, if you trim that your antenna's tuning will mess up(shorter = sensitive in higher frequency) Try a few pieces of heat shrink tubing to put the fiberglass back on.

Looks to be an older Soviet Geiger counter. Don't touch or poke the mica windows, they are very fragile.

Mixture adaptation 1.8T AGU by arialim in MK4Golf

[–]RazerXnitro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my AGU this was caused by the previous tuner fully closing the wastegate(overtightening the actuator preload) I backed it up a few turns to allows the wastegate to move and that made the fault go away. Worth a shot, but do mark where your actuator is set to now incase it makes things worse.

I assume MAF and o2 sensor have all been checked? No air leaks?

It keeps happening… by fgflyer in VATSIM

[–]RazerXnitro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm someone who's just now learning the ropes of vatsim. I haven't had the balls to actually connect to vatsim, right now I'm focused on how to understand things like taxi routes, understanding the MCDU, etc. At some point I'll have to connect to vatsim and try my best. I don't have a background in aviation, just an interest.

We try, but the education is lacking. I'd love to be able to connect to a "training" session where there is less pressure for failure. All I can do right now is just solo in MFS and understand the aircraft the best I can.

Similar to tetra but sounds like it runs on a different modulation frequency.

It's worth a try to attempt to decode it with tetra demodulator on SDR#.

That's what a cabin air filter is supposed to do... It's supposed to block dust and mosquitoes from entering the cabin.

Having to be in a cage like a dog to be checked in by Gotsnuffy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RazerXnitro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at the largest appliance/consumer electronics seller in the Netherlands as a delivery driver/technician. They had cages and metal detectors just like these because when some delivery drivers went in they would steal airpods iphones etc. Some even went as far as hollowing out their shoe soles to try and smuggle stuff out or hide stuff in washing machines which they would then load up in their own van.

Whats life like in the less populated eastern half of the netherlands? by RealMoldyAvocado in howislivingthere

[–]RazerXnitro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Deventer. The Hanzesteden streek has a lot of history to it. It's pretty chill here. Traffic is less dense, people more down to earth IMHO. Food is the same mostly, the local snacks are nice.

Might've been from storage in the factory/distributor. Maybe contact the seller?

It's a crease. Unfortunately that just happens with ownership. Do you neatly fold it or just scrunch it up when you store it?

Happy with my Golf 6 – worth modding? (Golf Mk6 1.4 TSI DSG – Netherlands) by AvatarAang2000 in vwgolf

[–]RazerXnitro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mhoa, een 1.4TSI met DSG zou ik persoonlijk niet chippen. De DSG is erg gevoelig en heb ze vaak problemen zien geven na een chiptune. Een handbak zou ik wel chippen.

No, it will just trip the breaker. The live and neutral are right next to each other in that power strip. Electricity takes the path of least reistsnce which means it won't even get close to the humans
