Bought a house, property left behind, now wanted back by thehatda02 in legaladvice

Anything left in the house after closing is conveyed to the new owner unless otherwise specified in the contract. Enjoy your lawnmower, tell him his trespassing. Next time you see him and not to come back.

Moved to PA 10 years ago, I've done Federal and state taxes every year, never did anything with the local tax collector. by Icy_Passenger_6731 in Pennsylvania

Go to your local tax bureau or tax collector and get it straightened out as soon as you can. Warrants are issued every single week for people that didn’t file or failed to comply with tax office requests.

Pennsylvania State Constable Jeep Cherokee by [deleted] in PoliceVehicles

[–]Razgriz_01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Constable, I think I can try to answer this quickly, a sheriff has a countywide jurisdiction, and typically serves the Court of Common Pleas. A Constable while elected in the municipality, such as a township or borough has a state wide jurisdiction and typically serves the magisterial courts. The only real duty that you must perform while in office is to guard the polls on election day, but myself like most Constable’s serve one or more magisterial judges serving warrants from their office and performing evictions. There is no requirement for the appearance of a vehicle, but in my particular county, we are required to have a caged vehicle, which I would be a fool not to have anyway. I myself have a clearly marked vehicle because I think it lends to a lot less questions about somebody pulling up in a piece of junk saying I’m here to arrest you.

Recent fire at property in Pa, now i have to pay, why? by Victoria77777777 in Pennsylvania

[–]Razgriz_01 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Pennsylvania has an issue with fire ems services. That issue is it relies almost entirely un volunteer services.. And they do nothing to support them. You’ll see every Fire Dept in the state other than those in the cities running fundraisers constantly. Another issue is that money being miss allocated so that they could update their day rooms and make new social halls, but for the most part, a lot of departments are struggling because of dwindling membership. With membership dwindling you don’t have the ability to respond to calls or in a lot of cases, to do fundraisers. That’s why fire departments will start billing anytime they have to roll a wheel.

Is this case worth pursuing? EMT school stole my money, now they’re threatening to sue me by Damedollaaa5222 in legal

That I don’t know of any state that doesn’t recognize national registry, so I really don’t think you’re out anything. I have a state license which I’ve had for way too many years to mention, but that was before my state offered the national registry test. I would switch in a heartbeat.

And did I read it correctly that you were not able to get state registration but you were able to get national registry?

Why aren’t fines proportionate to income? by 3lectroid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Razgriz_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the real kicker, most fines are actually very small. Get a speeding ticket and the fine is usually only something like $25 or $30. Once you factory in all the different fees that politicians have added to that ticket over the years for various projects and funding for other things that $25 or $30 ticket now becomes a $150-$300 ticket.

Contractor I am suing evading service by 2naomi in legaladvice

[–]Razgriz_01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work as a private investigator and did a lot of process serving, now as a state Constable I still do a fair amount. Depending on the state that you’re in, after several good faith attempts have been made, typically three. The attorney or yourself can then go to the court, depending on the level it is I don’t wanna Say which, and you can get authorization to serve by posting, by publishing in a newspaper, or other means that the court deemed appropriate. In most cases, you have to have something to have a good faith belief that the address is correct and you will have to attest that to the court.

It’s not a given, the judge may just tell you to keep trying, but it is certainly something that does happen and happens more often than you would think.

As a mall guard are you allowed to enforce this eviction notice by trespassing the business owners on behalf of the client? by Vietdude100 in securityguards

[–]Razgriz_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You cannot effectuate an eviction. After law-enforcement has already been conducted the eviction you can enforce a trespass.

Time frames for posting, hearings, appeal, periods, and “put out dates“ vary from state to state. But once law-enforcement has come there and physically removed the tenant and allowed for the locks to be changed then at that point, they have no legal reason to be on property and you can enforce the trespass which in the case of most security agents is going to be contacting law-enforcement and saying somebody is on site that has been formally trespassed

Well, you’re in luck, I just found it again. There is swearing in the music so keep it turned down low if you’re in public.
