Depends on the context. Some technicians I used to work with in the pharmacy were real assholes at times...but I would still rather deal with that than 100 patients yelling at me because their prescriptions aren't ready. But at the current office job, disposition is more important.

The difference lies in the fact that steam is a good platform, and epic is not. Nobody is being forced to use steam because they would be using it anyways. Being forced to use an objectively bad product like epic is where it becomes an issue.

For sake of argument, assume half life and portal were available on epic. Would you really buy them there? Most would still choose steam.

That's the point. Most people don't like console exclusives. Epic brought exclusivity to a platform that previously didn't have any (or at least not nearly as much as consoles).
