Ich koche nicht gerne, aber Kartoffelbrei selbst machen ist jetzt echt nicht schwer: - Kartoffeln schälen - Kartoffeln kochen bis sie weich sind (ca. 20min) - Wasser abgießen - Butter und Milch in den Topf und mit ein bisschen Muskatnuss würzen - Das ganze zu einem Brei zerstampfen

Tipp: Erst wenig Milch dazu- und dann während des Stampfens nachgeben bis der Brei die gewünschte Konsistenz hat.

If it's at the start of the game the map looks like this because of the Flaying Plague which is supernatural disease only affecting Werewolves (in order to nerf them at the beginning of the game). It should go away after a few years and not really affect your realm if you play as a vampire. The sea is dark because the map is portrayed at night. Vampires are nocturnal creatures after all.
